BJP shouldn't take middle class for granted. We are already paying lot of indirect taxes. Direct taxes should be totally removed.
1) Increase income tax slab.
2) Increase 80c limit
3) Reduce GST on insurance: Health, term
4) Reduce GST on education.
5) Increase LTCG and STCG limit.
6) Toll tax is loot, otherwise remove road tax.
7) Provide facilities to people paying income tax.

After paying all the taxes (TDS) 33.3% plus an avg 18 to 20% GST across your daily expenses, you end up with nothing left over for your retirement, no wonder why the voting percentage was low as well as higher NOTA votes.

People pay so much tax and get what in return? Police which protects only politicians, bad roads, govt schools & hospitals where taxpayer’s children don’t study. And they don’t get treatment. So wtf??

Tax is not the actual issue. Its ROE. Foreign countries get back the benefits of tax they pay. We don't. If someone is run over in an accident, my tax money is used to make him write an essay. Agreed Bihar gets most tax benifits, but then look at the infrastructure.

Income tax is looting the middle class income tax payers and it's all about encouraging big industrial houses. Over and above income tax, there is surcharge , cess,interest penalties. Truly draconian income tax rules only to milk the middle class income tax payers. Simplify the income tax structure with lesser tax rates on direct taxes and do away with surcharge, cess etc. Tax payers money is used to distribute freebies to the people who are not so productive in the GDP growth but engaged in exponential population growth. Having said all this, who is going to pay attention to our grievances through Mint newspaper. It's only a hogwash. No welfare measures for us post retirement.

We are providing tax to get the facilities. Rs. 10K & 10000K taxpayer all have to wait same TIME in the traffic, hospital, blood bank, airport! The income skill is individual capabilities, indifferent of facilities you are providing! Why can't you impose a fixed 5% tax slab to all those are earning above 5 LPA?

On the income of a citizen first government takes TDS as IT..... if this money goes to Bank FD again there is TDS.... If money goes to Stock market there is LTCG /STCG tax.... if you send money to your kids or grandkids abroad there is TCS. Remaining money if you buy anything you pay GST......
