I've made similar and served as a "hoagie dip." Served with chunks of bread. Add green and black olives. Yummy.
Hi Catherine! I'd substitute provolone for the cheddar and Muenster cheeses and add roasted red peppers and chopped marinated artichoke hearts. My mouth is watering! You did it again!

You have to be my all time favorite cooking show. I don’t entertain much anymore but I still put lots of effort into cooking for my husband and myself. I can always count on your recipes. I enjoy you showing us and taking your time explaining instructions. Some chefs go so fast that I have to listen to the recipe several times to catch everything. And I’m not disabled either. I’ve learned techniques as well as recipes from you. I think you and I could be best friends because your kindness and honesty comes through the screen. Thank you so very much for all you do. This is a great idea and I'd like it as a salad, too. I would have added provolone. Thomas, you're awfully brave putting your fingers near the cutting board while Catherine is chopping.

I would put some provolone cheese and Asiago cheese. I would add some chopped olives and maybe we’ll drained artichoke bottoms. It looks delicious!
I think that this is going to be the way I eat my Italian Sub sandwich. It looks wonderful and it looks like you can get a bite of everything with each bite! What a wonderful recipe 😊. Thank you Catherine for sharing this recipe and video with us ❤️
OOOOOOOhhhhh!!! That looks so yummy! I think I would spread just a little butter and sprinkle a little garlic powder on the inside of the buns and toast them first before adding all that yummy goodness.

I don't blame your hubby or you either Catherine for test tasting those delicious ingredients! They are very yummy! My kids & I made this Italian chopped sandwich a couple weeks ago for the first time and OMG it was so good! We put provolone cheese on ours, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, ham, turkey, bacon pieces (we fried our own), mayo, Olive Garden Italian dressing, Red Wline Vinegar, olive oil, Italian seasoning, other seasonings too I can't remember them all. It was so very good! It went into the meal rotation for sure! I want to try a lot of the ingredients you had in yours also so next time we will change it up a little or add to it anyway. I just know your family enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing your version of this super duper fantastic Italian Chopped Sandwich! 🥪🍽️💜

I just made this for dinner tonight and it was a huge hit!! I kept the dressing separate so I could mix up smaller batches since it’s just my husband and I. We should be able to get at least 3 meals out of it (unless someone stops by and we have to share 😉).

Looks good. I’m fortunate to live in the Boston, MA area, and we have a multitude of sub sandwich shops. A new favorite offers really quality imported ingredients. Mortadella, prosciutto,Genova salami, capicolla, provolone, mozzarella, hot cherry peppers, pickles, onions, tomatoes, spices, & so much more. 😋

I would use Turkey instead of ham and mustard instead of Italian dressing and prove lone cheese and maybe some black olives....mmmmm
