    Anxiety is often accompanied by a racing mind. When we develop the capacity to disengage with thoughts and instead focus the attention on the ever-present background stillness, we gain access to an infinite stream of well-being.
    When the sensations in the body are consciously and gently felt in the present moment, this stream of well-being infuses the whole system and can bring about profound transformation on the level of experience.

    Sadness appeared yesterday after finding out that a person died. I began to cry and suddenly I remembered this teaching. I followed the process, peace appeared 🎉

    You have have no idea how much I needed this. My fear is crippling me. I’m scared to sit with it. I’m in fear constantly. I want to cry all the time. I have been wanting to get on zoom and talk about it but I work on Sundays. 😢

    I'm 63 now and I have a form of Anxiety.?.....Not had a partner since I was 18 > No friends I live alone and have disconnected myself from my family, never went to my mums and younger brothers funerals, do all shopping paying bills online, only go out for my meds (takes 5 mins) for heart attack, once a week, my worse nightmare is talking to people so i don't do it, which made it impossible to get any help that I won't be able to attend anyway, yes I've led a lonely life but it's what i'm used to. Get help if you can or you may end up in my shoes. I use meditation videos with calming voices like Louise has. Thank you, I don't want and not looking for help or sympathy.

    I know this wisdom is the truth, I have experienced it. I just can’t reconcile my peace with what is happening in the world. I can transmute my feelings of sadness and fear etc and come into the present moment, this I can do. Lately the peace is deepening and I can feel my true nature. But what is happening in the world is breaking my heart.

    Compassion for the egoic self instead of trying to fight it, allow it to be there in the full knowledge that it is innocent and is scared.say hello and you are welcome,at the same time not believing the thoughts it will throw up to get your attention.someone can tell me a story -it doesn't mean I have to believe that story.❤

    Wow! I remember feeling anxiety coming over me after I had an accident were I busted my lip and loss some teeth and broke a few. At my age 63 I ended up in the hospital because I started vomiting and my husband thought I had a concussion when I fainted. In the hospital they tested me and everything came back fine. I concluded that I had a stomach virus or something because I vomited a lot. Anyway after the worst was ruled out I was discharged after one day but the anxiety started to kick in and it would come out of nowhere, it’s like my nervous system had a glitch. After learning to meditate, Qigong and learning about anxiety and all the symptoms that come with it I learned to managed it and it will be a year in February the that happen. I am finally almost finish with the dental work that was needed to fix all the damage. Learning from to manage anxiety from different professionals and focusing my attention on mental well-being including spirituality and gratitude along with meditation has help a lot.

    Same advice as in David R. Hawkins’ book “Letting Go,” namely focus on the physical sensations rather than the thoughts.

    My question I have a long time ago is this one: the egoic mind tries control and manipulate and this action gets in the way of the higher intelligence to support us. The egoic mind "disturbs" the higher intelligence of supporting us. The question is: is it the egoic mind also an expression of the higher intelligence? Who is the egoic mind if there is no separation? It seems that the egoic mind is the higher intelligence expressing itself! So, the higher intelligence is disturbing itself! Who is surrendering?

      egoic mind is like Louise said a fabrication -not real in the sense of being truth or expression of truth or meaning, it is just "chatter" (like noise on a radio between channels; you can hear it, but it does not mean or represent anything). When this fabricated chatter (or noise like between channels on a radio) is turned off, truth (or higher intelligence if you want to call it that) can be heard. If the noise is occupying the channel truth cannot be heard. Truth can never disturb itself, nor can truth produce noise or fabricated chatter. Fabricated chatter can however block the reception or perception of truth

    This is incomplete. Usually it needs to be adressed consiously. Otherwise it usually it continues on the background. Things like accept it fully is not enough as on the body level it is different, the body does not like it and attention is very much connected to the body, so it will trying to adress it. Saying stay as what you are is just a first recognition, but not sufficient. That is why so much on this is being said. If just staying with what you are and stop labeling it would be enough then all therapy and inquiry can go out of the window. But reality is not like this.
