I own this item in black stainless steel. There might be a reliability issue, because my range failed after 36 hours when the 3 hour self-clean was turned on. In GE’s defense, they replaced the unit in 2 weeks because parts weren’t available. However, I’m dubious about using the self-clean because it looks like the electronics can’t survive the heat.

What is the distance between the burner and the grate? Just want to check if it takes longer time for the flame to reach the pot , hence takes longer time to cook.

Just got this stove. Very happy with it so far, although the fingerprint resistance label is a bit misleading because it fingerprints pretty badly still. It also shows every little scratch, but I guess that’s just the nature of stainless steel.

I have one of these stoves. Very handsome commercial look without the ridiculous Wolf or Viking prices. Knobs are study. Very fast heat up; good temperature control. Front display is very responsive to the touch and looks clean when not using. Very efficient range cooking time wise. Very happy with this stove! I recommend getting a liner on the cooktop because it's a pain to clean otherwise.

Rob Jones. Interested in this product but didnt like the stainless top and would prefer painted black under the grates. This rough stainless under grates, does it scratch is too aggressive when cleaning? Did you get a liner and how does it look and help? Do you have any other GE profile appliances. Thanks Much

@@michaelsera746The material under the grates is brushed aluminum and is very scratch-prone. The liner I use is Stove Guard, and it shiny black. This significantly reduces cleaning effort. And I do think it looks nicer as well. No other GE Profile in my kitchen - I do like LG and Bosch for what they're good at.
