Hi, I have a GE induction slide-in like the one in your video. It is a couple of years old and new to me, so I have no idea how it works. The major problem now is when I turn any burner on, a very noisy sound starts and continues - it is a rattling sound that is from the strip at the back of the cooktop. I assume there is a fan back there but it is REALLY noisy. I do to know the history, although this loud noise does not seem normal. I have been reading that the fan might be dirty or something stuck in it, but how would I access that? Would I have to pull the stove out from the wall or should I call a repairman? Please help. the comment that the oven does not have a standard high temp clean mode is nor accurate for my model. I have used the self-clean twice with satisfactory results. I have never used the steam method although it is an option in the self clean menu.
Can I ask you about the Shabbat mode: is it only for the oven or also for the burners? I need one burner on during the religious holidays for 2 days usually. Will the burner go off automatically if nothing stands on it? Does the Shabbat mode can solve it? Thank you

My existing Samsung chef range does not and sometimes I find that the temperature is off by 50 degrees after opening the door to add something or stir food on a tray as it will not maintain the set temperature. With the Samsung, I need to set the temperature each time I open the door to make sure that it reaches the required temperature.
The problem with the front panel when we clean it is all the bottom turn off and on when whipping… also the panel touch screen turns on when we spray windex

GE says you have to connect to WiFi to enable the air fryer feature but once it’s enabled you can disconnect the WiFi and use all the features as normal
I have seen reviews of this product that say the "digital dials" can be accidentally activated by splashes of water etc. Have you had any issues with that?
Yes, if the front panel gets wet it can think you're touching it. It's basically like a big phone screen. If it gets wet or something splashes on it while I'm using it I just wipe it up and it's fine. You can also lock the panel when the stove is off if you want, helps when you're cleaning.

I have question for baking with the probe. I inserted the probe into the meat and then connected it to the oven. I tried to set our desired temp to 144F but the stove said that the temp must be 170. I don’t know how to set it at 144…and I find the inst manual extremely poorly written. Can you please show/tell me how to bake at 144 using the probe?
Sounds like that's the limit for the minimum oven temp (170). Try this..Plug in the probe, set the oven to bake at 350, then push the Cooking Options button. You should see a setting for Probe and be able to set the temp there.
Does the bridge element actually warm up the pan that is between the two circular elements? I'm wondering if there are actually coils spanning between the elements. I've seen this in some models but it seems like if there are not coils between, those areas would not actually cook.
I've never used the spanned mode on mine. There is at least one video clip on the yootoobs demonstrating the GE's spanned coils using a heavy stainless steel griddle that has been filled with water. The locations of the induction coils are clearly visible under the bubbling water and it's difficult to imagine it could ever achieve an evenly heated cooking surface. Still, the reviewer cooked up a mess of pancakes at various locations and the results looked acceptable. If you use a griddle often, shop carefully for that feature. There are some induction ranges that have this feature more capably engineered but a separate countertop griddle would be my preference.
We have the PHS930YP3FS bought over a year ago. We too would buy it again. The air fryer is certainly not the reason to buy this, but the convection oven does very well. The only other not perfect thing is that the 2 like "burners" on the left seem to differ in power even though on ours should be the same size. Certainly the large burner is hotter at a similar temp which is to be expected.

we have the same model at our home with the double oven, slider control is super easy and look great. as you slide your fingers lights come on , and you stop at your desired heating need.

There is no vent on this range. Do you mean the overhead vent? That is controlled by the microwave. However, if you own a matched GE micro, the vent fan can be set to automatically turn on when the range is activated.

(I do NOT recommend Hestan's products because using the cookware is complicated and the company has gone dark.) I do not think I would buy this GE unit again, though. Not because I'm unhappy with it, just that there are much more interesting (and perhaps more expensive) units on the market now. My unit has one quirk (that I have not seen mentioned in the hundreds of reviews I've read): If the oven is turned on before the surface units, the energy managment computer will not send full power to the burner. That is, I cannot boil water on the medium burners if the oven is on before I start cooking. The solution is simple: I just cancel the oven, set the burner to desired power level, and turn the oven back on. Then everything works at full power. Weird, but also logical in a way. If you're shopping, consider the burner layout: Does it work with your pans and how you normally cook? This GE does not allow me to use two 10" frying pans on the medium burners while using a 12" frying pan on the large burner. The burner layout works well with straight-sided pans, though. The electronic touch controls are not for everyone. I like them myself but it's true the settings can be changed easily by drops of water or errant finger touches and a sudden power change can be an unpleasant surprise. The unit is supplied with standard dumb oven racks. The better roll-out racks are $400 each. Insane! But I bought one because it's useful. The "air fryer" function is a marketing gimmick. Useless.

I’ve had this oven for three years and use it everyday. Stove top works as it should and cleans easily. The oven is a disaster. Temperature is not at all accurate for baking and even worse for roasting. Tried connecting for a software update with the app and the range wouldn’t connect with my phone. This range ain’t pretty it just looks that way.
Oh my goodness I thought I was the problem. I do not recommend this range. I get so angry each time I cook. I wish I made a better choice and did my research.
Unfortunate. I'm quite happy with my GE oven performance but I only have ever.used the full convection modes. I performed the toast test several times when the unit was new and was pleased with the results. Toast test involves placing white bread on the racks or sheet pans and observing how evenly they brown using various oven modes.

I just purchased the exact one and I tried to use the air fryer and it said to connect to the Wi-Fi. Do you have to be on Wi-Fi to use that feature?

No extra coils, it just coordinates the two burners.

You can either touch the circle at the setting where you want it to be, or slide your finger around the dial. Works really well.

Any glass panel can fail for a number of reasons. If you're uncomfortable with the prospect, shop for more ocnventional knob controls.

Yeah I wouldn't expect to have any issues with an oven that's high-end... especially Electrolux.
It’s junk one year and cooktop won’t work and the part is 6month out and very expensive.
