    From childhood I've always called my father's sisters amme and his brothers aamu, because only my dad side of the family is Iranian and urdu speakers use to inquire like " what?? What did you said, what does it mean, to whom you said that???" And it was really funny, but I personally think taht our language (persian) is kind, prestigious and very loving.

    Thanks for clarifying why stranger women can be addressed as khaleh and not ameh.... Good thing i never experimented and called someone ameh!

    I’ve always called my brother dadash. Is that wrong?

      It’s absolutely correct and very common to call one’s brother dadash 🙂
