They are saying calf strain, but I hope they are cautious and get it double checked. That is exactly what the original prognosis was for KD in 2019, and it turned out to be a partial tear of the Achilles that he later injured further. Speedy recovery KAT, that is a huge bummer to see. It made me wince watching the replay. Looking around like something hit him is not a good sign.
When Kobe broke his achilles he said it feels like someone kicked him on his leg, now looked at Kat reaction he looks like he's looking for something that tripped him. I hope it's not achilles but the reaction and the way the calf muscle richochet all points to achilles.

Pretty sure is a soleus pop, I have exactly the same injuries, nothing major compare to ACL but it will set him back for a few weeks at least.
I will hope it is that then, the only thing that came to mind for me was the achilles based on his reaction. A couple weeks would be a blessing for him, and he would be back before christmas.

I always wondered…NBA teams invest so much money on players. Leg injuries are the most common ones. Why isn’t there one, just one wheelchair to help them out? They always pogo stick to the locker rooms, with a great chance making things worse.
