    What an exceptionally cool airplane! It's amazing when they fly around and go right by your nose like that. Great fun!

    Is there any plan to make that very beautiful Wing?

      The plan and further information can be found in the 'Aeromodeller modeller' (UK) magazine, issue 979. an issue may be available on iibey

    Great flyer. Is the plan on outerzone.?
    Would love to add this to my fleet of capacitor models.

      Thank you. The plan is from Aeromodeller issue 979, it is not on OZ, maybe aeromodeller has the copy right of the plan.

    very neat! is there any chance of putting a radio and speed controller in her?

    • @rubberfly
      @rubberfly  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Maybe I'll still do that with my 'Farad'. With 1s battery, speed controller and rudder. This should be a great slow flyer.

    This has inspired me to revisit super capacitors for FF models, my experiments up until now have been a bit uninspiring. Could you please tell me the all up weight of your model? The Aeromodeller article fails to mention it.
    I’m looking at 35F super caps, two of which weigh 25g, nearly an ounce. For a 21” span model, that’s quite a lot of dead weight. I can usually build rubber powered models of that size to about the same weight as two super capacitors!

    • @rubberfly
      @rubberfly  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The model weighs 62 grams including two 30F caps of 9.5 grams each. The wingspan of my model is 56.8cm.

      @Pete-tq6in 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@rubberfly thank you very much, sorry to keep asking questions but if you could be so kind, could you tell me what the wing chord is?
      I’m weighing up whether or not the same power setup would be acceptable in a scale free flight model of 19” span.

      @rubberfly  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Pete-tq6in You are welcome. I will be happy to answer any questions on the subject. Wing chord 8.4cm. Profile thickness 9.1mm. The profile is probably similar to clark y, it was simply drawn by me.

      @@rubberfly thank you again, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions! I’m now thinking that a 1/2 sized Ken Willard Cavu would work well with this power system. I have the motors in stock and am now waiting for the delivery of some 35F super caps.
