  • Here is a Raw video of the Kubota M6060 Taking down some trees. This is to demonstrate how capable a tractor is for things like this. Always remember to take it slow and steady though. A tractor isn't made to use as a bull dozer but if you take your time and be careful you can get the job done. Man, This Kubota M6060 Destroys everything in its path!!

    Hey Paul. I use my tractor to do the same thing. But you are right, you got to know the limits or you can tear up your equipment. For people out there that are going to go out there and try this, please watch out for those widow makers! Just ease into it like Paul did and watch that top because the top can pop and come right back on you! Thanks Paul for a great video showing the correct way to do this. You have a great day sir!

      My old gearmore 4n1 would pick up anything. Also biting and pulling small trees in groups and brush then digging without changing buckets. I

      Thanks Westen! This is my second one, went from a smaller 40hp to this one which is 63.5, no problems so far but time will tell I guess, if the engine goes maybe I can have you do a Cummins swap! Lol

    My neighbor just ordered an one of these beasts. He does landscaping and tree service. I’ll have to tell him to put the chain saw away 😂

    Nice machine. I am looking at one of these and a JD 5065E.
    At lot of people don't realize that when you push forward and low on the tree it can easily cause the top to fall backward...on you. This is especially true with dead wood.

    I ordered mine with a 4&1 bucket. I had an L48 with one, and it would pick up huge logs no problem. Didn't have to switch out. I'm looking forward to delivery, anytime now till April I guess. I got in on 84 month 0 percent finance and couldn't resist. It will compliment my Case CX37 excavator. I think I'll like the shuttle shift better than the hydrostat I had with the L48. I beat that L48, and it held up pretty good. I think with my excavator I'll be reducing the strain.

      4 in 1 buckets do not seem to be popular in America. Most small tractors sold in Australia have them. 4 in1 buckets are built stronger than standard buckets. However they are not as good as a grapple at picking things up. I liken 4 in 1s to be the jack of all trades and the master of none. So they don’t pick things up as well as a grapple but they can carry dirt much better than one.

    Sometimes a tree will break above the bucket and fall back on you. I had that happen with cedars. Good ole FOPS

    The broken off one you should be able to dig out instead of trying to push it. The tree would have been different if it had a tap root. Try not to make the obits doing that. Thanks for the videos.

      Yeah the ones that broke I’m going to try to get under and pop the roots out.

    Unfortunately that is how I bent the cutting edge of my bucket. Hopefully you didn't do the same.

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I haven’t bent it but I did see it starting to flex so I stopped pushing and went at different angles to keep it from happening! Thanks for the comment that’s a very valid point people need to watch out for when working a tractor

    Be careful in the brush the M6060 for some reason has all the delicate hydraulics hanging off the bottom of the tractor...

    • @WilliamsonRidge
      @WilliamsonRidge  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah It has a metal guard over them but saplings get hung up on it and can tear it off, ask me how I know, lol.
