Yes, the classic and basic ones. But not until the new expansion drops in early april. Right now he can pull the new priest classic and basic cards, like the 4 mana spells that kills everything with 5 or more attack.

They said that by the end of the year of the Phoenix they will choose some initiate and some expansion cards and will make a classic core for DH.

Dang, I will need to switch from Highlander Hunter to this. The value and power creep is real. In Hunter I am always missing AoE, in this deck you don't need Zephrys to help you put of a mess but he is just another win condition.
After 14:40 Zephyrs could possibly have given him the new priest card Shadow Word: Ruin if it's been properly implemented (as it's in the classic set). Does anybody know if this works?

The weapon would still lose durability, the hero power only gives a temporary buff to your hero, so you’d still get 7 hits max, but now it’s 8>2 instead of 7>1.
Firebat claims every single time that he dislikes the Blizzard strategy in which they wanna squeze more and more money out of the players and that he doesn''t wanna pay for things and yet he just purchased this bundle to play the new hero one week before everybody else
wait a minute... if you can get Zephrys to consistently dole out doomhammer and then bait out weapon removal, you can use that +8 attack spell to deal 20 damage in a turn with rather little setup
Well, it would be over 3 turns, requiring a Highlander version, drawing exactly Zeph, being able to play him on a turn where you're ahead enough where you don't need to use him for removal, getting exactly Doomhammer, then drawing exactly +8 attack, and the opponent having no taunts, or you playing exactly the ignore taunt minion. So, basically it's not really a good idea to go for often.
And plus the hero power you could do 22 damage in one turn. If you know you are playing against a control deck that might be a new win condition, it's crazy
@@p.t.m successful combo decks have run with far more restrictive scenarios, and firebat's highlander DH is proving good enough that the concept will likely be able operate with separate win conditions against more control-oriented matchups.
@@SixCubitMan sure, because they're usually 5 or so combo card decks that can all be played in one turn to do 30, and the deck is designed for that. If you mean that this is a combo that can be sometimes utilized in a control deck to do a lot of damage if the conditions are right, yeah fine but it's not consistent, at best
@@p.t.m Highlander isn't that much of a restriction because the deck isn't made around that combo this is just a new option, also, wouldn't it be a two turn setup?. Futhermore you can make sure that zephyr always gets doomhammer for you and the +8 card isn't a dead card without the combo it can be used without doomhammer. It looks pretty consistent for me
Quick survey says: Comment whether or not you think doing streamer exclusive early access content ruins the best part of a new set. For me I feel the best part is getting to put deck building skills to the test and beat other people building their own decks before the meta settles. Doing these events means everyone can just copy streamers decks that had some success on day 1 instead.
Some people play hearthstone to deck build and try and refine their cool deck, and that's fine. Not everyone is like that Dont gatekeep a children's card game just because not everyone has the time or the dust to experiment
People netdeck streamers on day one anyway, remember Witchwood's release when literally 90% of ladder was odd paladin or shudderwock OTKs with almost every using the exact same lists? Netdeckers are always going to netdeck, and Blizzard has been pushing certain archetypes so hard lately that even most of the homebrew people end up playing the same shit right away. It would be nice if we could have more of a casual transition period and sometimes we do get that but it's just not realistic to expect it every time or try to find ways to promote it, that's just not how CCG communities work unfortunately.

As for dust, yeah, Blizzard should look at LoR for inspiration on how to properly monetise a card game, 'cause copying MTG's model definitely hasn't been healthy for the game. But that isn't on the people who *do* experiment, focus your anger on Blizzard.

Its just ive been playing since beta and historically the only time you get rewarded and can really delve into things with deck building is on first week of release and this seems like it will take that opportunity away. Low dust / F2P players can have the same level of fun theory crafting budget aggro decks. Frankly the budget aggro demon hunter deck may be the best deck in release week and wont take very much skill or dust to make.
