FF XIII did that too and look how good that game was...
It’s still poor design, since it’s like that in all three games and attacks are numbers based and not contact based, so it makes it impossible to run away and dodge their line of sight.

They pull the "lose the fight, win in the cutscene anyway" trick even more times beyond what Dunkey shows, it is fucking obnoxious.
Yeah this game has a real pacing problem with the villians, you're dealing with essentially the same team of villians for the entire game, so they keep finding ways to make you win but still lose, it's not well structured
@@chuckbatman5 They should have just given most boss +100% HP, but then make the cutscenes start when they are at 50%. But I mean that would be even more annoying if it happened many times.
@@Softlol They do use that a couple of times, during the 2nd battle with Malos, the 2nd Jin fight, and when you're fighting both of them.

yea i much prefer when games make the fight itself impossible so the cutscene feels appropriate, it just never makes sense when games let you win a fight that you lose as soon as the cutscene starts

Holly fuck, were those the actual lyrics in XCX? That's hilarious.
Gordon Freemason I never realized how terrible the English lyrics were 😂 Ik the German is pretty good, and I absolutely love the instrumentals probably even more than xenoblade 2.
Most of the other tracks were fine. Noctilum and Oblivia had great music.
There is a random song with a Z in it that plays probably once in the entire game but it is hands down the best song...
Sawano is a god.
Unfortunately the worst songs are the ones you'll hear the most, NLA themes case in point, but the rest of the soundtrack is pretty good. Like others have said, the boss songs and area themes in particular are great.
I swear most anime shit relies on either the girls or the fighting. Why can't I just have a deformed muscular goblin woman fighting a super huge dog or something?

But the difference here is the level 80 aggros on sight. In Guar, they only aggroed on battle and you could easily outrun them anyways.
The freaking t-rek in FF 12
No, they all aggroed you on sight. What games did you play? The difference here is that this Rotabart moves lightning fast across a huge area of the map. Hayreddin was fast, but he stuck in one specific area area, and Rotbart from X1 was indeed slow. But they always have aggroed on sight.

In case nobody brought it up, there is actually a mini tutorial not long before the final boss of the game
Bacon Ball
He has said in past videos that he is bias against RPGs. I like the game as well but everything he said in the video is true and are common problems to JRPGs...
Because a new game mechanic is introduced at that point that falls in line with the story... not a problem its literally 2-3 bubbles.
Therapist Thomas
Missing the point mate. The game has tutorials until the final chapter... Not to mention this stupid buying tutorials that you want to see again crap.
See but it's not really a "new mechanic". Yes, those are the words I used but they're not really accurate. The "mechanic" that is introduced is not anything super new, just a slight change to the way you play (if you so choose). If you know what "mechanic" I'm referring to you probably agree.
Therapist Thomas I beat the game, and it's more of an endgame super move than an actual mechanic.

What makes it even worse, you cant find the tutorials anywhere back in the game once you get passed them. The game throws in so many tutorials and the devs didn't think "Hey guys perhaps it would be a good idea to put the tutorials somewhere in a menu so that players could read them again."
You have to buy them again from vendors in various towns, which is just an annoying middle finger to the player.
