Thank you for the video. There is an easier way to change the clutch lever which does not require removing the cable from the channel. Unscrew the lever, remove the cover, and release the tension in the cable with the double black nuts thingie as you would in the video. With the lever loose, you can carefully pull it out and rotate it so that the cable end with the cilinder comes off the lever, freeing it. To install new lever just work backwards: insert the cable end cilinder into the lever hole, etc...
Nice video bro, used it to install my Gilles levers today. The micro switches did worry me but I think I’m good. Pretty much one switch is depressed when the clutch is disengaged. This will tell the computer the quick shifter is available to use. The other switch is engaged only when you pull in the clutch lever. This is so if you have cruise control on, you can disengage it by pulling the clutch lever in and that switch tells the computer to disengage cruise control. It makes sense, just sucks they’re so fragile.
@Simon law I do tell the torque specs in the video for both just an FYI. Please subscribe and share with everyone! Brake lever top of bolt (Flat head) 1nm. Bottom nut 6 Newton meters use blue thread locker on threads before putting nut on. Clutch lever top bolt push down till flush. Bottom nut 6 nm use blue thread locker on threads before installing nut. Hold both bolts still when using torque wrench
It’s fake carbon ( abs plastics that’s hydro dipped) but looks great and cheapest stuff out there price wise. Fitment was great! Here’s the eBay seller. If you don’t see what you want message then seller m.ebay.com/seller?sid=guanyi-motor&_trksid=p2349624.m3561.l49544
@@ctadrenaline Thanks. It looks pretty good. 👍 I think I’m going to stick with real carbon. It will take awhile to get everything I want because it’s so damn expensive. 😳
@@Image-X more power to ya. The real carbon is the best of course. I couldn’t get my self to pay for the real carbon on a majority of the body work. While it looks great if you go down then it’s all garbage anyway. Either way no matter what you choose you will be happy
Thanks for watching! The quality is good on the M levers. If your gonna upgrade the calipers and master to say a brembo for an example the M lever won’t work on the brake lever side since the M lever is meant for the stock master cylinder. Of course you can still use the m clutch lever though since that doesn’t get changed out

On mine the silver part was missing on the front brake lever (where the pin goes from the brake cylinder) 🤨🤨 i had to re-use the one from the old lever. But it did not fit. Had to sand it down a bit. Was a pain in the *ss. BMW did not understand what part was missing. All in all it works now but it wasn’t easy.
No, these are fake (they are all over eBay now). It is getting pretty hard to tell, they even fake the rearsets. Biggest/easiest clue is the packaging... OEM doesn't come in 1 box.

What brand of carbon fiber is that and how was fitment? I’m picking up a new ‘22 M Package in about a week or so. Ordered it in early June.

Looks like BMW Is having CRG make their M levers.
Very possible. Thanks for viewing and please subscribe if you have not already !
I think its Gilles Tooling, they make their rearsets too.
