An expensive cure is still better than no cure as at least the rich will get cured. For the vast majority of people living with HIV, governments need to increase funding for HIV cure research so that a cure gets found quickly. unless there is an incentive for either the company who makes this or the government, things don't happen. There are gene editing therapies for other conditions available but unless it is commercially viable, it never happens. Real sad.
