Enjoyed the video very much!!! Thanks for including us in your set up planning process!!! Interesting to see all the challenges and hard work that goes into producing the final beautiful village set up!!!!
Omg Kelly! You sound just like me when i am in my creative, thinking and singing mode- I thoroughly enjoyed listening to your thought process!! This video was very helpful knowing i am not alone!!! Cant wait for the finished product!!
Love this! The one with the lady on the horse is wilkenson saddlery and the other is baylys blacksmith. I have both and love them. Your village is so pretty already!
Yes, they’re such beautiful pieces. I really love them too. Though, I’m sad because the wilkenson piece no longer works. I guess the motor burned out?? It happened pretty soon after I got it though, so I’m not sure what the issue is. The lady doesn’t rotate anymore 😭 Have you ever gotten a piece repaired? I’m not sure I would take it.
There goes those creative brain planets colliding again! I have to say, even with the insanity, I’m getting your vision. Does that label me insane, too? Love the completed parts of your village! Next!
I finally had a chance to sit down & watch this and omg I ❤ it so much! Loved every single bit and I love being part of a community of women that talk to ourselves! I am my only employee so if I don't talk to myself, it would be a very boring work environment 😂 I almost watched this in the kitchen while I was decorating cookies and I'm really glad I didn't bc of the number of times I busted out laughing I for sure would have messed up LOL Also, LOVE your shirt!
OMG Kelley, you are hilarious. Good on you for filming this process. I was watching you and thought….yup, I talk to myself about the whole process. lol. I always think if my husband came home early and heard me talking to myself, he would really consider maybe getting me committed.
Hi Kelley, great video! I love that half way through it you threw away the styrofoam and started all over again. Sometimes its the only way! I learned to stop trying to make something work that is simply not working lol. Great to see you in the moment, no planning, just building as you go. And talking out loud and answering yourself when creating is really the only way LOL, I do it all the time! Also just a suggestion, maybe you can add kinetic sand in the water scene area. You can get it in your favorite craft store or the famous company that starts with letter a and ends with n lol, it keeps taking down my comment bec i mention the names of the stores, smh, the kinetic sand is easy to work with and it looks great, you can stick the sand under the front of buildings & into the water. And yes paint area for water would look good. By the way I love your flying squirrel, too funny
Kinetic sand- omg thank you!!! That is such a good idea! I’ve never worked with it before and I love trying new materials. I’m so behind on my village this year and I don’t have the time I need to really make a dock water scene, but it’s an area I want to build and work on in the off season - definitely have to incorporate kinetic sand! Can you believe that squirrel?!! 😂😂 I was editing the video and saw something go flying across the screen and was like, wait what?!!! 🐿️
@KelleyDoesStuff I could not stop laughing 😂. So the kinetic sand is kind of dark (i learned my lesson) so i had to rebuy it but the name you want to look up on Azn is called Slimysand and get sand color this will be a beautiful off white or cream color, and its the same as kinetic sand, you will be intrigued by how it easily shapes and molds like a real beach! I use it for my year round summer displays. 😁
I love the irony of the snowy Christmas village with the sun drenched green palms through the window. So good and love the display!
It’s the closest to snow we’ll get! 😂
OMG! I just love your creative process. You can get so much accomplished when you converse with yourself! Can't wait to see what comes next
Right?!!! Talking to yourself is so helpful!!

It’s definitely a process…and it feels like I have a bunch of squirrels running around in my brain 😂

I’m glad I’m not alone with the singing!! Something about creating makes every song ever come to my head. Of course we must sing them all out loud!!
lol...loved it! It kinda looks like my creation process😆
I love how we all create different things but share a similar creating experience! 😂

I think creativity requires a special type of insanity!!! We’re all insane! 😂😂

Aw yay!! Thank you so much!! Yes yes- such an incredible community, and we must talk or it would be way too quiet 😂😂

😂😂😂 I love how we share this experience. Talking to ourselves is a very necessary part of the creative process!
@ I totally agree.
