While Pearl's comment about watching Steven sleep is weird, I know mothers who actually will do that for their child when they're young--comforted to see their child sleeping soundly for the night. I can only assume that's what Pearl was doing. XD

I saw someone comment on a video (I forgot what video it was) that their mom went inside their room to see if they're alright because she had a nightmare about them dying and just needed to see them ok after waking up.
i was PRAYING to you to watch the rose's tape, her message of loving her every time he is loving himself and the fact that they share the same gem is so precious to me, i just want steven to be forever happy

One thing I like about “Fusion Cuisine” is how it shows that Connie isn’t perfect, we already know that she has a tendency to circumvent her parents rules with loopholes and technicalities but here we also get to see that she’s a bit of a habitual liar particularly when it comes to her parents and stuff about Steven. I also like how Lion does obey Steven just not in the way he wants him to, as soon as Steven says that he wishes he knew his mom better Lion tries to get Steven to go into his mane, and back in “Lion 2 The Movie” Lion takes Connie and Steven to Roses armory/training room right after Steven says that he isn’t trained very well. Lion does what Steven asks it’s just that Steven never realizes that he’s asking it.

It makes happy to that the rest of the Crystal Gems filled that motherly role in Steven's life after Rose passed, and they are each their own type of mothers too😊
I think the best part about this episode is how after Ronaldo gets a different look at his research he jumps straight to the truth

Actually, Ronoldo's theory at the end about polymorphic sentient rocks is correct. That is exactly what the crystal gems are. He also gets several other theories correct later as well.
In the episode where we first hear Sadie sing, we do see accurate stuff on his whiteboard…

Actually, he's right. The Gems, both Crystal and Homeworld, ARE Polymorphic Sentient Rocks.
They're Sentient Gems that use light to Morph themselves as they want.
