The 3 of you knocked that out! Great team work for a small crew.

Mike I'm a 30 year veteran of running a concrete business. I use to scratch in the ramps like you. 5 years ago I purchased a ramp tool from supply house. They come out perfect every time. I would be lost without it now.

Just wondering why rebar was not used, are the fibers good enough for long term strength?

I’ve gone to using key lock at doors and drop the outer form 1/2-3/4” depending on wall thickness. It also keeps the floor from cracking on the inside corners of the wall without having to saw or tool a joint that will hold water under the door. Great videos, thanks for sharing!

You guys do awesome work Mike.
You did a radiant slab inside ICFs that I had prepped back in 05(Richmond)
A couple things were not quite right but you calmly explained it and we made the changes before the trucks got there!
Came out beautiful and you were off to the next one, I think you said you had 3more pours that day.

I love your content. You guys are experts! I only wish your camera caught more detail on the concrete to show the different textures throughout the finishing process. It all looks smooth even right after you screed it, but I know the texture looks different during each step.

@@MikeDayConcrete I was lucky to find a crew that likes to make extra $$ on the weekend, they have the trucks and their pump coming in Sat morning, and hopefully the torrential rains won't hit until it sets up so I can cover it. But its Florida,...the odds are against us.

mike, you should mention that calcium chloride will darken the final appearance of the surface. where as non chloride accellerators that are more expensive will generally keep natural grey/white color

To ensure strength concrete should be kept wet for up to two weeks surely?

    Great job by your crew.

Hey Mike, how do you keep your edges against the wall clean when you trowel? We find we have to hand trowel after almost every power trowel pass to keep them clean.

Definitely use non-calcium chloride if steel is in the slab. And 2% at 70degrees is crazy. In my region in florida 2% at 70degrees the entire floor would be burnt in in about 2 hours tops and will completly get away from a non experienced concrete guy. I would recommend .5-1 at that temp.

How can you tell if it has an accelerater? I did a job one time and the concrete set and was dry like 20 minutes after it hit the ground ruined my whole job. I then called the plant n they said they put an accelerater in it without telling me.
