"Victory has a thousand fathers and defeat is an orphan". Never more truer words. Everyone wants an association to anything or anyone, perceived as a winner. But (no) one, relishes the thought of being linked to a loss or a loser.
im a big Martin Sheen fan. But when I first seen this when I was 12 yrs old, Vincent Gardenia made the biggest impression; his portrayal of Hoover was amazing.
I love this movie. President JFK is one of the few who really wanted to save America. He is a great and good President. This movie makes me fall in love with the Kennedys even more. Thank you so much ❤
I've researched it for years; it's been explained to me by dozens of people, many of them experts in the field of Geopolitics, and still I can't understand why it was necessary for the U.S. to sacrifice human lives to dislodge the Communist government in Cuba. Anyone else care to have a stab at it?
@@daleravic Yeah, that I understand, but why was it seen that way? What was the apparent mortal terror of a tiny communist led island in the middle of the Caribbean?
Because the government is the tool of the elites. And the role Las Vegas fills today was the role of Cuba in the 40s and 50s, until Fidel Castro booted the Italian-American Mafia. There was also the fact that Castro humiliated several major oil companies which had received massive swaths of land to drill on from Fulgencio Batista. Castro allowed them to drill on a fraction of the land they bought at best. Fidel Castro was simply intolerable. Not so much because he was a communist but because he injured the businesses of some very powerful oil moguls and wrecked the party land of the American wealthy.
@@jerico641 part of the problem, aside from other countries nearby possibly turning communist, is that they’re allies to the URSS, and they may work as such with it’s military force. the best example is what later happened during the cuban missile crisis

It was the early 60's. Communism being set up in the Western Hemipshere was seen as a major victory for the Soviet Union.
