- Final Search For Karen Adams FBI Case | Divers FOUND Target In Dangerous River. In today's video we go out on our final search for Karen Adams in hope of solving a 15-Yea-Old FBI missing person case out of Ohio.
Karen was last seen leaving the Mountaineer Casino and never heard from again. Each location was searched thoroughly, but that will not discourage this from continuing our search efforts.
Karen Adams, missing for over 14 years, has not been forgotten. We located and dove several vehicles at this marina, where a well-traveled bridge once sat and has now been replaced. There were so many vehicles located and with harsh weather moving in, it took several days to clear what we could. This location was chosen based off of the last known cell phone information.

I dont really have a channel. I'm just the local contact here in Ohio. I do the ground wok before the teams come up. I've recently gotten my dive certs though so I can help with the clearing of the numerous targets we have found in the river.

Isn't there a nationally site where shippers could report strange "collision with bottom objects" so that fire and police departments and you as dive and recovery teams and family of loved missing ones could check out when they think it is necessary? Here over in the Netherlands there was a man missing for months but they found him in his car in a canal after reports of shippers reporting something hitting on the bottom...
So it could help a lot probably...
And...what if...if this missing woman had gambling problems and after an evening going wrong in the casino(lost of money on an moment it made things worse in an big/bigger way than before) and saw no way out and drove into a pond or lake or canal or river between the casino and her home...probably on a place along the way home,probably on a to her familar place/body of water...
An tremendous amount of respect from an diver aswell for you trying to find and bring home lost loved ones!!!

AWP had a recovery of a womans car that had been mauled by very large ships that were coming and going from loading product. When they finally got it out it was very mauled, but she was thankfully still there... if the barges are bottoming on debris they could potentially move or roll a car, also some states have Ice dams and it tends to scour a river bottom. You guys are doing great

If only the shippers would report those "hitting of objects on the bottom"...
Maybe an idea for an place nationally to report it where the police and fire department and these dive and recovery teams and family members who are missing loved are allowed to have access to these reports....

You all are an hour from me. I worked beside the Ohio River for 16 years and witnessed how treacherous it could get, we built a dock and had barges coming in all the time, but we were required to have divers come in and inspect the area for zebra mussels before the dock could be built.
All searches are somewhat successful because you are eliminating areas you have already searched. Even having to expand that search area from 5 to even 8 miles can lead to other bodies of water, not searched. Very pleased you were with Chaos Divers with these searches. They are great mentors for you Brit...Glad to see you back from your Alaska adventure and posting again. Stay safe!

You guys can go so far and still hit a brick wall. Maybe in the future what you all would like is an underwater drone to check whats below you saving you time to suit up and find rocks or other stuff.
If it's car you dive to check. Drone makers and clubs reach out to them to search areas above and below just like Doug says any boat owners need to scan off the ramps.
I respect you all in what your all doing and how much more could happen with more equipment. Stay safe.

The Ohio river has many floods and barge traffic. My brother lives in New Martinsville, WV about 1 hour South of the Casino. Lots of twists and turns. I pray that people continue to search for her. She has got to be somewhere in that area. May God Bless and Protect all who search for her and others.
In 15 years, how has the lake changed has there been construction activities that could possibly have buried a vehicle deeper than it normally would have been?? Great job trying to bring her home guys.

Brit, the anxiety on your face broke my heart. You are so brave. I could see the emotion on Jacob's face also. And I knew it was for you. When the conditions are that bad it is not only hard to navigate but can be very scary. But like a soldier you got through it. It will never be easy, but your determination will help you get through it because you are doing something for another person and family. That is what we call a "HERO".

It’s such a difficult situation when y’all find a target and then it turns out to be a debris pile. I’m always praying that all of the divers with this movement will find the people that they are searching for. I know that it’s disheartening for y’all when it turns out to be an abandoned car or something else. My prayers are with You all that some day you will bring them all home.
