This reminds me of Jung's teachings of "integrating the shadow". Can you give a brief comment on whether or not it's the same thing?

I have a question about letting go. So I've been going through these steps and I've seen results already. However, the same triggers come back after some time. Do I just keep letting go of the same thing time after time and it'll finally be gone/ not trigger me? Because that's what I'm aiming for.

I felt like I needed to come back to this video to give constructive criticism. I watched this video when it first came out, and it basicaly shifted how I viewed meditation. But not in a way that was productive for me in the long run. After watching, I thought that what all meditation (breath awareness in my case) was doing for me, is helping me escape from my insecurities and everything I label as "unnacceptable" within me. I started thinking : "what's the point with meditating anyway ? Why should I bother concentrate on my breath if it's not bringing real and positive change within me ?"
I had for 2 years a love/hate relationship with the practice. Despite doing your letting go technique many times, nothing changed either.
However I feel grateful that I found this video, because it helped me see what meditation was really doing for me. I feel like this issue helped me develop true wisdom and know from experience that meditation is all I truly needed to deal with my shadow self and thus live a happy life.
What I've found is that I do not need to consciously do something in order to "heal". I share your idea, that letting go is the key for true healing, but you can't just "let go". Because that ain't letting go. Letting go is about surrender and to stop trying.
And in that sense, my meditation practice taught me that focusing on my breath is not only about focus or escapism. When I come back to my breath everytime I caught myself thinking, I'm letting go of the thought and at the same time, the narrative about me and my life tied to it. Over time I could observe myself and I started recognizing patterns about myself which brought suffering into my existence. And I stopped believing everything thought about me.
Letting go of my thoughts gave room for my shadow self to show up, to be felt, heard and then released. In a way, I experienced everything you're talking about in this video, simply by focusing on my breath. If you're disciplined and meditate everyday for months/years, this letting go process is bound to happen sooner or later. So to each their own I guess. :)

I'm watching this again and again till I understand it and even I have to see it even more than this to understand it more. This four part videos are very important and also its a better advice than many of the people out there like its even better than David Goggins, Andrew Tate and the like this people helped me to fight the guards but yes you are RIGHT it feels so much pain it demands so much effort it drives to burnout but when I heard you saying why are the guards there first that was a whole another bigger and better perspective and its like you said its effortless Thankyou very much Julien really really.

Again brilliant these last two videos. Actually what I needed. I woke up this morning and was going to comment on Aaron Daughty’s video saying but how do you let go. And yesterday Russel Brand uploaded his three best books for awakening or something, or letting go even, and one was called Letting Go by Dr David R Hawkins, who many in this community would have heard of.... so I was like right maybe I’ll give that a blast. Abs I was gonna download it on audible then saw this. - but yes, this shining a light process is what I needed. The holding space and acknowledging what is coming up and going on on subtle levels is exactly it. I remember 4 years ago now. When I really nailed this in last time and had profound moments of bliss and or freedom and AH IT WAS SO EASY ALL ALONG. And actually manifested NON LOGICALLY weird events to prove the shift and also just how attraction is real af too, not just in the practical sense. But Julien. I have a question. I know you mentioned in this video about take action, get triggered, let go. So that kinda answers my question. But with all this talk of take massive action. Or like you know people who are not taking action are deemed as procrastinators and stuff, what would you say to when someone knows they’re operating from a trauma state etc, I mean of course we all are, but what if they know things are working out by not taking action, or like they are addressing things internally etc, would you still say must take action. Cause sometimes you know there isn’t really an action to take other than the action of stop distracting yourself and work through your shit. I guess I answered it too. Long message sorry. Haha

Great series, but one thing that wasn’t fully clear to me is when exactly we should do the meditation exercise.
From this video it sounded like we should do it whenever the uncomfortable situation/emotions arise. Or did I get it wrong? On the other hand the mediation video is 25 minutes long and should probably be used daily? So I’m curious when exactly we should meditate. Just a quick breathing exercise whenever the emotions arise, or daily for 25 minutes, or both?

Interestingly enough, vipassana uses a concentration meditation in the beginning, so that later you can perform an awareness meditation where you scan for sensations in your body. As sensations are experienced, emotions come up, and pass away. Never be stuck in an emotion, just witness it. I wonder what's your take on this(vipassana) kind of meditation. It's as it was originally taught by the buddha, and they dont quite tell you to bring awareness to the emotion. Seems like vipasanna is a more shotgun approach

Can you let go of pursuing self improvement? Isn’t self improvement implying you aren’t good enough?

How deep is the awareness part? Should I just get a little conscious of what it´s or i need to create the "perfect" or "horrible" cenario? Lol
