Lot of respect for handling it like that!
Super calm & classy stuff right there.
Cheers & happy flights.
Perfect piloting! ;)
It's a nervous- "shit-in-the-pants"- sort of wing... Risk your life only for a bit better glide/speed. I really don't understand that!
@@laffeteckel l agree.
Nice glider great pilot! Guess he was really keen to fly regardless of the conditions!
great pilot! cold!
Wow! Gut reagiert!
Sehr gut raus gekommen!!!
lolol the music!! isn't that the opening for Alf or some 90's series??
+ Diego Moreno Vangelis, Carros de Fuego (Film)
Cool geblieben!
Good control
what camera and what angle did you use ? optimal for me
Hi Dominik, I'm looking for this kind of images to illustrate some interviews in a documentary about safety, would you agree if I use it?
Antoine Boisselier
Sure you can. If you make a link to this original source I have absolutely no problem with it. Can you send me a link to your documentary as soon as its competed? I would be intrested in it...
Regards
Dominik
Hi Dominik, that's great! Thank you for you answer! I will let you know and send you a link as soon as it's ready! Please give me you mail! Mine is tonioblues at hotmail dot com
Hello! I am not a paraglider... as I understand it was turbulence? How often such things happen? By the way, you must be having balls of steel! Very cool!))
Extreme glider control. Well done. Great pilot skills...
I cant see why everybody is saying that het controlled the glider... It's just luck that there was no cascade of extreme movements and he had to pull the reserve...
The most appropriate solution to the front collpase would have been in fact using weight shift to keep the canopy parallel to the horizon, this takes a lot of energy out it. The frontal had too much energy to be prevented by brakes obviously. I dont have experiece with high aspect gliders, but with my background in acro, I think you stayed on the brakes after the collapse (2:34), at least on the right side. What comes after looked definately like a shooting after a stall, not like a frontal recovery.
Shut up you don't know sh*t.
Hmmm not sure about your last sentence... from my experience the higher AR wings shoot a lot after opening from a front stall, even without brakes (before shooting). It's probably because a front stall slows the wing down a lot and when it reopens it shoots like after a stall.
Nah i was wrong 😂
So risky those conditions
well managed man
U-Turn Blacklight Paraglider Insane Glide Ratio!
you have to pray your glider is not enzo!
sinan kutlu
Your glider was telling you that this was about to happen for several minutes. That's why Lee side is considered dangerous.
Yup, me too. Why is he stretching the legs then? I don't get it
cool your my family
Very well seen not a partial load of the wing. It is best to load on the top of the fork, then it will not chatter so much
This wing looks like a widowmaker...
would this also happen with an EN-A glider?
what happen? leeward?
Yes those Nuviak peak 6 gliders have big collapse problem. The shape is wrong for the aspect ratio.
Just made an SIV. There I learned to keep my legs in when it thrashes around ;) Nice recovery thou !
belle maitrise :)
My ICEPEAK 6 never behaved this way. Must have been some seriously turbulent air since the vario wasn't really screaming like in a strong thermal plus the whole time I have the feel you are constantly late with your reactions. I had that issue when I first started flying my IP6... I needed to get up to speed with my reflexes. ;) Nicely solved at the end though. Good on ya.
These two lines gliders are like accident waiting to happen.
After 8 Years ... do you still think the same ?
man well managed and good piloting but fliying in those conditions is asking for disaster or at lesst a reserve throw
Hi Die Musik findest du hier auf youtube unter: Vangelis chariots of fire
On speed bar maybe?
i doubt anybody would apply speedbar in that turbulence...
mann du hast nerven :-)
aehr cool geblieben und nicht überreagiert...
what is that beeping sound?
It's the variometer. It measures whether your climbing or descending and with the beeping sound it says that you are climbing. that is very handy if you are flying in one thermal with several other people, so you dont have to look for your instruments the whole time.
Thank you
What a pleasant relaxing flight... Not
Music pls?
Vangelis. Chariots of fire BSO
that's a foehn isn't?
Might be, but I assume no pilot his skilllevel would start in a foehn-situation. The subtitles say that he flew to the leeward side of the mountain and then found a thermal of which he hoped would lift him up again.
gggggg...etwas ungemütlich :-))))
Perhaps when the glider collapses at 2:30, would it make sense to look away from the wing right after the collapse and look at the horizon? Would it be possible that quick sharp jab of 100% brakes at that moment prevent the glider from so much cascade? Maybe this might help. th-cam.com/video/5FkJGyl-GGk/w-d-xo.html
Next time in english please
happy landings...
Can you translate into English aswel please.
I can't understand that someone wants to fly such a nervous and potentially dangerous (not to say deadly) wing. Flying is supposed to be fun and not nerve-wrecking like this... It's a hobby not a good-payed dangerous job...
For a 2-liner, this wing was actually pretty easy and nice to fly... It was just a shitty place, where I should not have flown...
dude, sorry, but you're stupid if you don't understand this. On wings with such characteristics, they fly only when a paraglider with lower characteristics is no longer enough.
Maybe the conditions were too rough or the wing is a bit too high-perfs for you, I don't know but one thing for sure, you shouldn't have been there at that time under this specific wing.
That has nothing to do with that "specific" Wing. His handling was great in that situation.
Just Watch it again. He´s piloting very active. One of the rare videos where the pilot show´s skills. Normally i think OMG do some propper training or stop flying if i see video´s like this.
