Fascinating interview. Polite and respectful on either side of a contentious and divisive debate.

There is nothing divisive about disarmament.
Only self loathing and suicidal communists in the west considered disarmament in the west seriously.
      These are people
Today who support indefinite covid lockdowns and the green new deal and gun control and mass immigration which will destroy the west.
Imagine this lunatic woman saying that Britain would be safer if she unilaterally disarmed .

I don't think anyone in their right mind jumps for joy at the existence of nuclear weapons, but surely, doesn't the intervening 40 years since this interview, with no nuclear war, prove Ruddock wrong? I'd love not to be spending the vast amount we do on this horrendous thing, but Britain, with a decreasingly few other countries, are largely sane, on an insane planet, what else can we do?!

A proper debate. Calm and measured on both sides, well mannered. No one described asa traitor or whatever. Watching this you get a clear idea of both sides and the viewer can make up their own mind.

She is the kind of lunatic that is leading the west to its destruction with the green new deal and covid lockdowns and mass immigration and gun control.
Ted Heath was not perfect but atleast showed common sense on nuclear deterrence

Good comment .Refer to my comment by me Lara G .above .I love his deep sonorous voice it's so smooth , I wonder I really wonder what brand of Whiskey he drinks or does he prefer wine ? I like Black Velvet with Coca Cola as a chaser and Laphroaig straight .And when the war is over with Russia I'm going to celebrate with two Smirnoff 100 double Vodka and Tonics and nothing then could stop me from a Tanqueray Gin and tonic to make me blush and celebrate peace and friendly relations again with Russia and China !

A refreshing example of proper, intelligent debate between opponents who can respect each other.
Of course, these days they'd be shouting, finger pointing and resorting to personal attacks - all the while gaslighting the audience with performative nonsense.

I would be on the opposite side of the debate from Mr Heath on almost all issues, but he is totally in command of every issue, to what seems an almost impossible degree; today's candidates for high office, such as Diane Abbott, rely on just a wing and a prayer, and are actually frighteningly incompetent.

I'd be interested to know about her background, who groomed her, her metaphysical pedigree, etc. She's extremely Talmudic, I know that much. As for the issue at hand, it's a non-issue. The only important issue is who she, Heath, and the interviewer work for. I know who they work for.
