    Thank you very much for taking your time to make this video. We were able to get shuttle tickets but I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss anything nearby too! We were also planning to do Bryce so I’m glad it’s worth it too.

    Hi there! We driving from Las Vegas to Zion , Bryce and Lake Powell any recommend where should I stay ? Kanab or Springdale? Thanks

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I'm not sure I have a recommendation because it really comes down to when you're leaving one park and heading to another. You could stay in Springdale, then see Zion, then head to Kanab. But I think you should try to stay closer to Bryce than Kanab.

    We’re going to try The Narrows next week (Oct 20-21). How cold is the water? Is it necessary to rent the dry pants?
    Thank you!

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is about the time they start recommending the dry pants. But you will have to ask Zion Outfitters or Zion Guru. The water itself isn’t that cold, but the canyon gets colder (because it already gets very little sunlight).
      We are going there this week, and we are trying to decide if we should let our kids get in. I’ll try to remember to tell you what it’s like. :)

      @@WereintheRockies another question. We are going to rent the neoprene socks and boots. Do we need to wear our own socks or the neoprenes will do? Sorry if dumb question. Just packing and figuring out what to bring in our backpack. Thanks much!

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question we hadn’t thought of!
      You will take your own socks off, and wear just the neoprene socks. Wondering if you would do me a favor? We put together a post on our website. wereintherockies.com/zion-recommended-gear/. If you look at that, will you let me know if it seems clear? Or if there are other questions that we haven’t thought to address. Thank you!

    • @WereintheRockies

      But, you’ll need to out your socks on after the hike. You don’t want to be hiking around in the neoprene socks all day. They are hot and sweaty

    Hey can I drive into Zion in September?

      I just want to drive around and leave
      No hiking no walking n

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cannot drive into Zion Canyon in September. There are other roads you can drive on, but not Zion Canyon, which is the most popular section of the park

    • @WereintheRockies
      @WereintheRockies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You won't be able to drive into the main canyon but you can drive through the Mt. Caramel Tunnel to the East entrance which is a super cool drive. Have a great trip

      @@WereintheRockies thank you so much that helps much because in September 9 we are road tripping to Utah from Florida
      Do you know is arches required anything to enter or I can just show up there and drive into the park ?
