For Sara, this was her first chance to compete since the start of 2020 after her ACL injury. Sara received the all-clear to compete a matter of days before the event, critics anticipated a timid Sigmundsdóttir to return. How wrong they were.
For Emma, Dubai was a chance to compete for the very first time at the Elite female level after being crowned Fittest Teen on Earth at the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games. Although 16 years old, Emma’s presence on the competition floor rivalled the greats of the sport.
For Adler, Dubai was an opportunity to continue his forward momentum off the back of his successes last month at the 2021 Rogue Invitational, Jeff had his eyes set on one of those "shiny, heavy" trophies, and he fought each and every event.
For Elliot, Dubai was his return to his old stomping ground, and was met with roars from the many lives he's touched as an Athlete & Coach at CrossFit YAS within the crowd. This isn’t the Elliot the world’s used to seeing, no longer another British Engine; but throwing around big PR weights for fun.

Great video! Awesome comeback for Sara! The only thing I did not like about this competition is that they did not run in the desert, swim in open water etc. So except for the ski slope, it could have been anywhere.
