I live in Pittsburgh, and I doubt you'd be sorry you did. If you need help with where to live etc, hit me up.

Thanks for making Pittsburgh sound a lot more exciting than it actually is. I lived here for most of my life. It's not the best or the most fun place, but it's ok. I'm glad you clarified that Pittsburgh is lacking in some things and there is not much to do (especially if you're not into football like me), but it has room for growth. There is some stuff to do but not a lot.
My favorite places to go are the mattress factory, the strip district, and Condado. My friends and I go to that restaurant a lot. It can get a little crowded but they have the best tacos! I haven't been to Randy Land yet even though it's close to the Mattress Factory and the college, I attended, on the Northshore. I do plan on going someday.

Pittsburgh was one of the major US cities outside of New York or San Francisco that protected workers from anti-gay actions. It even survived a vote to repeal it. The major universities and art schools keep it young and gay. However like everywhere else gay bars are dying or dead. I would love to take you back in time to the early 90s when techno and Rupaul were breaking. It was a fun time. Also the show Queer As Folk was filmed in Toronto but supposed to be in Pittsburgh. Since you posted this, Images closed (pretty sure).

Ha, that tubing looked too fun. And so cool that you met Daveo - he’s an old TH-cam friend of mine! We used to be on a collab channel together. 😃

Born here (1944) Early schooling here away for High School. D 2+ yrs college.
The Burg is well placed in the Middle Atlantic states. Can easily get to every major city from DC to Maine/Canada/ Vermont/NH/ NYC, Philly Cleveland, Baltimore, Toronto/ Montreal/ all within a 500 miles radius around The Burg.
    Education: it is here.
    Art: tons
    Theater: indeed
Sports: here (butt nt at this time doin' so good)
Museums: from a T Rex to a room of giant geodesic, Meadowcroft (15,000 yrs of human habitation - oldest site for that in the US. Warhol Museum, Falling Water - Frank Lloyd Wright - built over a running mountain stream in the 1940s? for the Kaufman (retailers) family summer recreation spot.
    And so much more.
As a "native" who has traveled to all the cities mentioned above and to Barcelona, Paris, Frankfort, Madrid, Buenos Aries, Ushuia and Antartica....I know that Pittsburgh has EVERYTHING most of those places have (either more or less). My city has much to attract you to visit. Dmck, pgh, pa

I love Pittsburgh! Went there 2 years ago and fell in love with it! It reminds me of a clean Portland before all the homeless took over.

As a black person visiting the Pittsburgh-area, I never really felt welcomed except from people I knew, which matters most but aside from them, I probably wouldn't visit.

Born and raised here- hated it, still do. Moved 25 years ago. I don’t even go back to visit family. Very hillbilly sort of place. Large town, maybe; a true city, never.

I grew up on QAF so imagine my ignorant surprise when I visited and it was nothing like the gay setting I had hoped. It was so dull, grey and boring. Liberty ave is just all straights. Ill stick to NYC.
