I drove one today, loved it, drives and rides like a much more expensive car, very very quiet. This car has a wonderful sound system, and looks ten times better live.
I love this car and am very impressed. It's a bit big on the outside (height-wise in a few ways), but I love it, and no one can change my opinion of it.
I rented a 2014 Malibu LTZ (without nav) and it was fantastic remote start, auto lift trunk, leather, good size screen. The model I had came with turbo. Auto stop start was alittle rough but overall gave good fuel economy
chris lewis it’s a super nice car, the only reason why the newest Malibu has no leatherette seats is because people that had the LTZ complained because the low trims had everything the same... smh people complain to much now days ... LT is probably the perfect trim
chris lewis you honestly get a better deal with a Malibu, saving gas, perfect sounding radio, 7” touch screen radio standard and you get leather seats with a perfect styling exterior, and a perfect interior.... omg i sound like a car salesmen... I should be one 😂
The 2.0L Turbocharged would be SICK if it came with a 3.6L Twin-Turbocharged, OMG. ❤️ IN Saint Louis, most dealers are selling the 2014 Malibu 1LS for just below $16,000, which is amazing...
Honestly, GM has the best car interiors I've ever seen... I always wondered how Honda, Nissan, Toyota and other "better" brands are so behind GM when it comes to the interior quality
I have a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. I went to test drive this 2013 Malibu and I was very impressed. Then I decided to change my Toyota for this one. The Malibu runs better then Camry. Driving the Malibu was funner then driving my Camry. Great job Chevy and GM. Boo Toyota
Excellent tour Kyle. Love the car's ergonomics. And yes, you should consider adding test drives to your videos. Just add a minute or two giving us your take on 0-60, ride and comfort. Please consider. Your vids are really informative.
I love Chevrolet products. I'm an owner of a 2015 Malibu 1LT and a 2013 Sonic 2LT. Both of the cars are pleasant to me. Both at a fair price. ($18,000 for the Sonic, $27,000 for the Malibu). They both come with lots of features. Sonic features: MyLink, 16" white painted rims, remote start, premium sound system, 0-60= 8.6 seconds. Malibu features: MyLink, Backup cam, sunroof, remote start, premium sound system, ECO package. 0-60 = 7.7 seconds (2.5L).
Yea true, and I kinda want to take that back because I saw one just like this yesterday and I actually liked it! It had a muscular back end that I really liked
I bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu ECO LTZ with Sirius XM radio and Hands free calling Not push to start It is Raven Black and a Cream interior like on the video and Chrome Accenting
You always make a great video. I'm never disappointed when i watch your video's. A very clear picture of the cars, not to far away from the car, not to fast with the camera. And not to close to the vehicle. Great job. Lookout foward to your next video. @BeeStrong.
This is actually a great vehicle. I'm impressed with the improved build quality and good looks. However it still falls short of the awesome Kia Optima, Hyundai Sonata and 2013 Ford Fusion. But this vehicle offers plenty to be competitive.
That is not a bad looking car for being a Chevy! They have just continually been making giant leaps and bounds in the quality department, especially for their interiors. This car certainly looks like it has its fair share of creature comforts.
I live in North Dakota, the gas here is about $3.65/gal. But the temperature get's to be about -30F to -40F in the winter. We use block heaters but they only keep the engine warm enough to start. Auto start lets us warm the inside of the car without letting it sit running with the key in the ignition.
Now you will want to do the 2014 Chevrolet Malibu. Even though it is mostly the same as the 2013 they dropped this 2.4 Eco engine. They did small interior designs and added start/stop to the 2.5. They also changed the front grill on the 2014.
It seems like this has a hybrid drive system similar to that of Honda's IMA. It's a parallel hybrid drive, where the electric motor is only there to assist the spark ignition engine in driving, and providing electricity for the vehicle at a stop. What's interesting to me is how the electric motor is apparently belt driven, rather than fixed to the end of the crankshaft. Pretty neat!
@@kingcellous2587 I love it. It drives like absolute butter and it's great on gas not to mention it's a really pretty car and their pretty affordable. I'd say go for it👌
wow chevy really made improvements this is the first car from chevrolet in a long time that will really compete with the toyota camry and honda accord.
Nice looking car overall, especially the interior, not especially too stoked about that "racer" dash or steering wheel. Furthermore its hard to miss the Camry influence on the front end and some of the curves, almost looks like the marriage of a Camaro and Camry. Nevertheless this has always been one of the better cars from Chevy. After seeing the new Cruze I was curious to see what direction the Malibu would take and so far this is impressive.
I hope the newer 2015+ Malibu are better, because I got a 2013 as a loaner with a 2.5L and I hated every moment of it. The only thing I liked was the surprisingly smooth start-stop and the hidden center console storage which I sister jokingly referred to as the "crack/gun pocket".
Wow thanks for a REAL review/overview. I have watched 600 videos and this is the best by far..you show everything. I am considering this car or a Fusion and this helped a lot. Still undecided though. Any advice? I'd like a 2013 Fusion..but they are not available yet :(
How are you doing Kyle. Are you planning on reviewing the 2011-2012 Infiniti M56s? I've been waiting patiently for years! LOL. No pressure though, I'll still continue to patiently wait.
Just to clarify, the backup camera is not exclusive to units with navigation. It's also available on units equipped with the 7" ColorTouch Radio. It does not come with guidance lines, however.
I'm torn here- I love almost everything about the Malibu but I'm not sure what trim I should be looking for in the near future, either a 1LZ or a 2LZ. Ugh I can't decide. I know I don't want an LS, LT, or Eco but which of the two LZ trims is better? I love how the 19 inch wheels the 2LZ look but what's the ride quality like with those wheels? I've heard a few times from owners that the 18 inch have a better ride than the 19 inch. Is it true the 19 inch have more road noise??? Cause that's something I don't want more of. Also what's the reliability like on the 2.0 Turbo? And what's the actual average fuel economy for that engine? Is it really far off from the 2.5 or is it similar?
My personal favorite generation of the Chevy Malibu.
Brad Meyer I had the year before. It was junk. And endless money pit.
Brad Meyer same
Fr the other ones blew it 😂💩
Me too
I like the 2004 generation

Wow, what great design, fit, finish, and technology. If it's reliable it's a winner in my book. I'm really impressed!
I love how chevy’s chime sounds a lot like that wheel of fortune TV game
I wish the chime sounds like the price is right
GM is doing good. They are really starting to get back into the game! :)
Love the car and the interior!
Wow, they are even more stylish. Definitely a big change. These are pretty sharp looking.

Thanks for the video! This new Malibu is a good example of the direction GM (and the American auto industry in general) ought to be going.

Actually the interieur of the car look really high-quality and nicely furnished. Like it a lot.
Very impressive and so much better than the previous generation!! Especially the interior. Well done GM! Now, please do the same to the Impala.

Beautiful, GM is making the best vehicles they have ever made now. They definitely deserved the bailout!

The cupholders in the center console also come out and there is more hidden storage underneath the cupholders.
It looks absolutely massive. A truly impressive car, but, I guess it's just too big for me... But still gorgeous.
