Great video. Y'all have it going on. I really like how you have patterns for what you build and how it's made to be disassembled for maintenance & repair.
@@MyshireFarm I’m not sure what width you need but the 1/2”x1” 16gauge pvc coated is .84 cents a sq ft (24”x100’ roll =$168). At Home Depot that’s the same stuff I used. Believe me I shopped it around and that was the best price. What you show on Amazon cost twice as much and it’s not PVC. Just giving you a heads up.
He was working on the bottom of the cage when he attached it, so yes, they flipped it after it was done. The top is actually open. I thought, at first, oh no, the eggs would roll inside.
I like the behind the scenes. good stuff.
More of that to come!!!!
@@MyshireFarm Yay!!

Awesome video explaining how everything works and easily breaks down for maintenance 👍
Glad we could help.
Nice to finally meet you George! Great video.
Thanks for watching
George, Great job on the upgrade/maintenance. About time someone put Zack to some actual work. Looking forward to your future videos.
Hey now…. Hahahahaha.
Great job George! We just got our first batch of quails and are excited about this next phase in our journey to being a little more self sufficient.
Wonderful! GOOD LUCK! Let us know if you need anything
Great job George
Thanks for watching

Yes. I am very happy they are made that way
Thanks for showing us how you maintain the cages, George!
No problem. Thanks for watching
Great video! Thank you for showing us in detail your cages.
Thanks for watching
Great job. Great explanations. Quick and to the point. BRAVO!!
Thanks for watching
It's George!
Yep he will be doing more videos too
@@MyshireFarm He did a nice job and shouldn't be afraid of the camera, nor should Jen.
Very good !! answered a few questions.
Glad it helped
Nice job with the details.
Thanks
What is on the surface of the poop portion? I'd imagine metal would be expensive.
Plastic
Awesome job brother turned out nice
Yeah. I think this will help a lot
Hi George!
I will let him know you said hi
What size are the cages? do you keep one breeding group per cage?
No we colony breed so we have 40-50 hens in each cage.
Looks nice,
Thanks. I am hoping next year we can use pvc coated wire
Hi i just came here to ask what kind of material you use to catch the poop i went to lowe’s but i didn’t find anything similar to that
It is a plastic that was in the back as a return. I am not sure how or where they sell it
@@MyshireFarm thanks i will go again and ask them
Name of hand saw used to cut wire...as not clear?
I will have to look. I don’t remember.
Really surprised you didn’t go with PVC coated 1/2”x1” giving you even longer life span. Does not look like a fun task.
Merry Christmas!!
With how many cages we have the price was astronomical plus it was on back order for how much we need until February and we could not wait that long

What size wire is used on the sides of the cages?
1x2
Great video.
Thank you.
Thats some heavy duty cages :D how big are they, and how many quail can they hold?? :)
We put 50 hens in each
What material are you using as a surface for your poop trays?
It is a plastic we found in a discount pile at menards
is there a lot of food waste from them throwing it every where?
We reuse all feed that they waste and refeed them.
You should get George a mic.
He has one with noise canceling but when you have 6000 quail they tend to take over. We did as much our side as we could sorry
I prefer george over papa, and the relative simple design of your cages
He did a great job in this video
Lemme finish screwin' this up...
...ah, so you've met me before.
I don’t know what you mean I am sorry
Looks upside down
I don’t know what you mean
@@MyshireFarm it look the egg catcher we’re point down, did u need to flip it over ?
He was working on the bottom of the cage when he attached it, so yes, they flipped it after it was done. The top is actually open. I thought, at first, oh no, the eggs would roll inside.
