Oh my gosh, Mahesh Babu is, like, seriously the only actor in the whole wide world who looks, like, way more drop-dead gorgeous when you lay your eyes on him in person than in AI! Its just my opinion that even though AI would definitely uplift the movie watching experience but because our mind knows that it's AI and not the actual actor, AI would never match upto the emotions we will feel when watching an actual person act on screen. No matter how much technology develops, human emotions would always be triggered when we watch another living person before ourselves.

If AI replaces actors, I don’t have any hope for outsiders. Because the best AI generated films will come from the biggest production houses, which are tied to families that already have a big part to play in the game.
Imagine actually talented actors being sidelined for AI to modify and perfect mediocre (or bad) actors who happen to be star kids.

AI can be used to mask a stunt double's face for action scenes, video editing, CGI, VFX, and so on. However, if an actor is not actively performing, I believe they will diminish their value. That's why we hold actors like Tom Cruise in high regard, as he performs about 60% of his own stunts.

I saw this Mammootty, Mohanlal video a few days ago and a very terrifying possibility has creeped into my brain and has refused to leave. Even though a close eye would make people realize, a morphed or Photoshopped photo is real enough for people to get harrased about it for a lifetime. Further developed AI would be more precise and undetectable. If people are going to use it in a wrong way (blackmail, pornography without consent, extortion, etc),AI is going to destroy far more lives than being helpful.

Movies with AI models will definitely not be the same, because its lacking one of the most important part of an actor - improvisation. For example, the K-K-K-Kiran stammering was an improv by SRK on the sets, the Aao Aao to pigeons in DDLJ, the break up scene in Tamasha, as well as Permission Leni Chahiye this in Gangs of Wasseypur. All these and many more were improvised by the actors, and this amazing part is sth the AI movies will lack

Being an AI Engineer, I myself have worked on such GANs, by using these we make deep fakes. I would like to assure you guys that these GANs only work properly, when there is a single object in focus. If multiple objects or in our case if multiple actors are present in a scene then it would fail miserably due to a lot of ambiguity present in each scene for our Model. It is safe to say that atleast till next 10 years, actors and artists are safe.
Also, Dont fear AI, because its the next step in the human evolution. Just like we made peace with computers decades ago, we can make peace with AI too. Just think about the limitless possibilities it will bring, doesn't it sound exciting?🤩

WOW! Was waiting for this Topic to come about. This is going to be a long discussion! I wouldn't look at it completely with DARK glasses. this is truly mind-blowing!
The advancements in AI and AI Cloned Actors have the potential to revolutionize the movie industry in so many positive ways. On the one hand, we can now bring back beloved actors from the past and see them in new roles, allowing us to experience their talent and magic once again. It's a fantastic way to honor their legacy and keep their artistry alive. In the distant future too, audiences can have access to a Madhubala, Dilip Saab, Sridevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Shahrukh Khan etc.
Moreover, AI Cloned Actors can also bring new stories and characters to life. This opens up endless possibilities for creativity and storytelling, giving filmmakers the freedom to imagine and create worlds that were previously unimaginable. It's exciting to think about the diverse range of characters and performances that can now be brought to the big screen. Movies like Star Wars, Avatar, Gemini Man etc. creating new / deceased actors are a glimpse to that future. Recently, Mr. Bachchan foraying into generative AI digital IP is a sign of this as well.
Another significant advantage is the potential for cost and time savings. AI Cloned Actors can help reduce production costs and streamline the filmmaking process. This means that more projects can be undertaken, even those with smaller budgets, ultimately leading to a more diverse and inclusive film landscape.
However, the need of a vision and direction of Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, Satyajit Ray can’t be replicated [HOPE NOT!] One of the main concerns is the impact on job opportunities for real actors. As AI Cloned Actors become more prevalent, there is a possibility of reduced demand for human actors, potentially leading to job displacement in the industry. The drive / passion of an Actor to act and perform can’t be replaced either.
Additionally, there are ethical considerations regarding consent and intellectual property rights. Clear guidelines and regulations must be in place to ensure that AI Cloned Actors are used responsibly and with respect for the rights of real actors. Unless the actor themselves or their REP are “OK” with it and have signed off on it.
In conclusion, the future of the movie industry with AI and AI Cloned Actors is undoubtedly exciting. It offers endless possibilities for storytelling, cost savings, and honoring the legacies of iconic actors. However, it's crucial that these advancements are navigated with careful thought and consideration.

Superstars get the kind of openings they do because the fans wait to see them on big screen for a long time. The problem with AI generated movies would be that we will know that it's not the actually people and also there might be a new movie of your star hero releasing every weekend!

But are we really saying all we want to see for the rest of our lives is Mammootty's performances? No new actors? No new bodies of work?
