I believe both Kabiraji cutlet and fish chop, were created back then.
This is God sent! I was trying to replicate mum's recipe but she isn't here anymore! The only difference been she used to cyber the chops with a thin layer of potato. Thank you! 🥰

Agree...Bombay Duck / Bombil makes wonderful fries...this fish is so tender and buttery that it almost melts when deep fried , and this makes it so different from other varieties which generally turn a bit flaky.
I have made it and turnout awesome I just added boiled potatoes for binding and boil the fish with cardamon , bayleaf and some clove thank you for the recipe @bongeats
The only reason why I came here again and again is the music which symbolises the tradition of Bengali cuisine. The photography technique also attracts me.

You can steam the fish on the stove, it'll achieve the same result.

Our microwave’s maximum power is 1000 watts. If someone is using, say a 800 watts microwave, it might take slightly longer.

Boil the fish and debone it. That's what we used to do when there was no microwave.
Bake it in oven lower temperature like English fish cake prep. Will taste better too than boiled.
