The genius in Sam Reid now speaking in a more neutral American accent since Lestat has now lived in New Orleans for over a hundred years is not talked about enough.
Sam was apparently a little embarrassed by how raw he got in this scene and all I can think is, "DUDE, you were being true to the character and the situation, you were doing your job!!!
He remembered the day, down to the minutes. How much time did he spend thinking about that? How did the idea of Louis hurting himself torment him? My heart 😢
@@MsPsychedelia I think a vampire walking out into the sun or throwing himself into a fire is how they hurt (end) themselves. Lestat may have thought Louis was dead. The random fledging even knew about Louis, Lestat spent a lot of time talking about him. I wonder if it was the same as Louis talking about Claudia and she left home.
The thing that gets me about this scene is Louis almost reverts to who he was when they first met. His speech and his vocabulary almost completely changes from when hes with Armand. Louis seems to change himself to fit with Armand while Lestat loves him for who he always was.
💯 This & the way Armand pulled this off was peak villainacy. He gave the impression that it was bc he cared about Louis but wanted Lestat to think he died. Gremlin bastard.
How could you NOT want to wrap your arms around Lestat when he uttered those words, OMG! Sam and Jacob are amazing as these characters. I need at least 5 years of them.,
Like he can't believe he was Claudia's dad it broke my heart too. I adore every minute of this reunion. Now we need he get angry at Louis about publishing his memoirs saying : I'm going to write my version of it
I saw somewhere someone said that he will write his own book and become a rockstar to draw attention away from Louis. because all of them are gonna be going after him and he does not want Louis to get hurt.😭
After finding out the truth, Louis did not want that book published. He burned Daniel’s laptop, paid him and arranged his transportation home before going to seek out Lestat.
@@5christiey it amazed me the silence from him at the end I know they were going to make many last time revelations like Daniel vampire and everything about the book but when they menace Louis there is not one though from Lestat or Armand. We will see 🙈
Lestat tried protecting his babies his fledglings. In the end it all happened just as Lestat told them it would. Claudia ended up dying by fire anyway.
There was nothing he could've done. She confessed. There were 13 other vampires. Even if he had Akasha's blood, he wouldn't be able to save her. @Lina-Spirit
Fans of the series of which I think everybody is... will remember this scene for a long long time it was really a master class in acting and if this show does not get nominated for some Emmys I will be entirely pissed off because genre aside this was excellent acting, excellent writing, an excellent production and it deserves to be rewarded
All of the feelings!!!!! I love this scene so much. It's shows who Lestat is at his core. The vulnerability of the both of them is amazing. Such an amazing performance! 🖤🖤
Did you hurt yourself will always get along with him remembering the time. The raw emotion while saying his lines Sam Reid is hands down talented to his core .
Oh wow, I like it without the music AND with the music. Both make me cry. Without the music, I feel like I'm frozen in the corner watching them, and I'm trying my best not to interrupt a very personal moment. Fly on the wall feeling, outsider looking in on another's pain. With the music, I feel like the moment they're having is surrounding me and moving through me. Like I've been invited to share in the pain. I'm just happy they were able to greive together. Such a beautiful performance by Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson. After watching this show, I'm much more interested in watching theatre plays.
@nocontextlestat incredible work, you feel like you are there. And even more devastating. (by they way just saw the AMC clip where Sam answers fan questions and says hi to you! OMG I would have died. So freaking cool ❤❤
So Lestat was always lying to himself that he didn’t give a damn about Claudia but we all see he obvious did, he missed them both and she wanted to leave but he didn’t, he said it would have hurt Louis but in reality it would have hurt them both, he didn’t wanted her gone and at the last moment; apart of him wanted her gone but the other half still wanted her in his life and clearly he just couldn’t do anything to save but at least died with her since she still was his child
This is so lovely 🥹 Can you please share the program or site you use to remove the background noise? I’ve tried to do something similar with other clips in the past, but with very little success 🥺
A dominant Lestat is sexy, a broken Lestat is unspeakably beautiful.
I know, right? The vulnerability in the question "Did you hurt yourself?" just breaks your heart. ❤
I want a Lestat damn!!!!
Isn't he though? Try and find the movie Sam Reid did called BELLE. Beautiful costumes in that and he had his hair tied back.
@@lynettedevries1824 oh yes. I know it. He is breathtaking and again he has a thing for light brown sugar😁
omg right?
The genius in Sam Reid now speaking in a more neutral American accent since Lestat has now lived in New Orleans for over a hundred years is not talked about enough.
Good catch!!!!!
Holy shit i didnt notice that
He is a great actor
Lestat was worried about his baby😢
That BROKE me. 😭
Worried about him for 50 YEARS
Louie is his baby or the love of his life?😂
The voice quiver in "did you hurt yourself?"😢😢
It made me start sobbing too😭
Sam didn't like that 'take' & wanted to redo it, but Rolin said NOPE it stays. A very wise choice. ❤
Sam was apparently a little embarrassed by how raw he got in this scene and all I can think is, "DUDE, you were being true to the character and the situation, you were doing your job!!!
Why was he embarrassed?
@@AmethystEyes he also hated the domestic violence scene, he kept apologizing

I feel like Lestat is just shocked that Louis isn't an apparition/DreamLouis. Lestat probably thought he died after talking to Armand. 💔😭
💯 This & the way Armand pulled this off was peak villainacy. He gave the impression that it was bc he cared about Louis but wanted Lestat to think he died. Gremlin bastard.
"Like a child looking to her father, but I was never ..."
They both acknowledged they weren't good parents and used their child as a pawn for control
Lestat just wanted them to be a family. So did Louis
Even without the music it's still a heartbreaking scene 💔😥
It honestly sounds more heartbreaking without the music
I much more prefer these vignettes without music.
