He has indeed trained hard all his life to attain this magnificent voice (and he’s also about to complete his Doctorate in musicology). He can sing in virtually any genre and language - you have a huge treasure chest of beautiful performances to explore! Also - apart from all his skills as a singer, composer, instrumentalist, music producer, actor etc. - he is first and foremost simply a lovely, kind, genuine, spiritual and humble person. This year, he paired with the famous cellist, Hauser, to do this song as a duet with the cello “singing” parts of the song. It is exquisite! Dimash turned 30 this past May, and he just keeps getting better and better! He sings in multiple languages and genres. All I know is, if Dimash is singing it, it’s my kind of music!

Willkommen in der Fan Welt von Dimash. Ich habe ihn zum ersten Mal 2019 gesehen und gehört, dank TH-cam. Ich war genauso hypnotisiert von diesem gesanglichen Talent. Und man darf nicht vergessen das ist Live gesungen in einem mega Konzert. Alleine die Bühnenbilder sind überwältigend. Du wirst immer mehr von Dimash begeistert sein, der wirklich ein Jahrhundert Talent ist, ähnlich wie Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston es waren, beide sind leider in den Ende 90 Jahren und 2000 Jahre so von der Presse und neidischen Menschen verletzt worden das sie sich das Leben genommen haben. Wie widerlich ist man gerade mit Michael Jackson umgegangen der zum Schluss alles verloren hat und sich kaum noch in der Öffentlichkeit gezeigt hat. Dimash ist inzwischen 30 Jahre alt und ist in ganz Asien, Russland ein Superstar. Auch in Europa und meiner Heimat der Schweiz 🇨🇭 ist er sehr bekannt geworden. Vor allem durch die umwerfenden Konzerte die er gegeben hat. Ja Musik lag schon von Anfang an in seinem Blut. Beide Eltern sind in Kasachstan, Russland und Asien ebenfalls berühmt , haben aber ab 2017 für die Karriere ihres Sohne pausiert. Sind immer mitgereist zu seinen Auftritten. Anfänglich gehörte Kasachstan bis Ende der 80 Jahre noch zu Russland das änderte sich durch Gorbatschow, das Land hat sich von Russland gespalten, ebenso wie die Baltischen Staaten inklusive der Ukraine. Hello!! Welcome to the Dimash era!!! The first time I heard Dimash I was surprised just like you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My first songs I heard from Dimash were SOS and Sinful passion. You will be tied up like all of his "dears”. That's what Dimash calls his fans and there are millions of us around the world. Dimash was born into a household of musicians. At age 5 he began training at a music school where he was diagnosed with "absolute pitch." At age 6 he won his first piano competition. He continued his studies and graduated from the University of Classical and Contemporary Music. He has a master's degree in composition and is pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He is a multi-instrumentalist (6), as well as a vocalist and composer. He has ventured into acting, audiovisual direction, dance, advertising modeling (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has won countless awards and honors throughout his career. The most surprising thing is that he is barely 30 years old. He speaks Kazakh (native language),Russian and English and studies Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 14 languages. Finally I will tell you that above all these characteristics, he is an extraordinary human being who loves peace, respectful of his parents, family and culture and the best ambassador of his country to the world!!!
I agree, this is a great performance from Bastau. I tell every new reactor to watch Bastau and The Singer, to see how he started, so they can appreciate what he can do in later performances and now.
I disagree he almost sounds sick he’s straining so much more here and has absolutely no low register whatsoever. I far prefer most of his other performances however he makes some really interesting different choices here
My favorite versions are Singapore with Hauser, Singer 2017 because you can see the shocked reactions of his competitors and the audience, and Slavic Bazaar because you can see his eyes. This one at Bastau is a distant 4th. The reactor is appreciating Dimash’s skill, though. 😀😄
If you choose to watch other songs of his, you’ll be bowled over. Many people would say, “You haven’t seen anything yet!” You have a choice of genre, topic, language, the number of vocal techniques employed… Dimash trained almost non-stop from the age of 5 to reach a super-human level of skill no other singer can touch. The only crap around here is yours, I grew up around him, he'll sneak a sip like anybody would, then looks around to see if anybody saw him, then grins. I've never seen him, my sister has. For all I really know, he's chugging a case a week behind the house 👋🤣 Mansur buying it, he'll do anything to drive Dimash's car ha ! I do know he's not even supposed to drink cola; supposedly bloat etc, pressure on the diaphragm, he practices a few hours a day when not in concert or performing in general.
You definitely won't have heard anyone like Dimash, he flies through genres as easily as through octaves. From Opera to Rap, he has done it all and is still evolving now.

I love the fact that you pointed to the truly remarkable thing about Dimash, most people go straight to vocal range, but you nailed it with vocal control, and he has total vocal control over almost an octaves range.and he was born absolute pitch or pitch perfect whichever is the correct term so he is always dead on the note he chooses. Music scholars have said a voice like his is once in a thousand years or more, I believe it completely.
He has practiced since he was 5 years old. He practices at least 3 hours a day, and does swimming and martial arts to help his lung capacity. He has over 7 octave range, sings in at least 14 languages, and is finishing up his doctorate in, I believe, Music Theory. He has a brand new music video of the song, SOS. It is with the master cellist Hauser. Hauser was part of the 2Cellos. Hauser's music video Thunderstruck has over 275 million views on TH-cam.

I saw him live couple of weeks ago. It was outstanding. His voice was out of this world. His humility and humanity were even more impressive. He made time for communicating with fans between songs. Really listening. The fans were also an eye opener. Family with teenage kids. Old couples. People from many countries travel far just to see him. At the same time felt more like one huge family then a bunch of strangers

I had never heard that performance of SOS. His baritone wasn't as fully developed in 2017 as it is now. Try listening to Ogni Pietra/Olimpico or Stranger to get a good listen to his baritone.

Dimash's voice really is beautiful and very emotional, too. You were right, there's a lot of work behind that voice. Dimash has studied music all his life and still practises daily. This performance was part of "Bastau" (Beginning), his first solo concert for an international audience. Since then, he has hugely expanded his skills, his range and repertoire. For any other vocalist, this performance would certainly be the pinnacle of their career. For Dimash, as spectacular as it is, this performance of SOS is generally not even considered his best performance of this song! Most Dears (Dimash’s name for his fans) will tell you the Slavic Bazaar version or the 2021 Digital Show version are the best. I love those, but my personal favorite is him singing from a studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. I subscribed to your channel hoping for more Dimash reactions! ❤

Ikanaide, Tokyo 2020 Jazz Festival, Adagio, 2017 the Singer in China, Daybreak 2017. The Story of One Sky, he composed all the music and sings through the whole 13 minutes, references to Imagine by John Lennon, and Michael Jackson's song about the saving of the Earth, he is an ambassador for peace also. We are blessed to have this human in our lives. So many masterpieces coming out of this soul.

Dimash ist inzwischen 30 Jahre alt und ist in ganz Asien, Russland ein Superstar. Auch in Europa und meiner Heimat der Schweiz 🇨🇭 ist er sehr bekannt geworden. Vor allem durch die umwerfenden Konzerte die er gegeben hat.
Ja Musik lag schon von Anfang an in seinem Blut. Beide Eltern sind in Kasachstan, Russland und Asien ebenfalls berühmt , haben aber ab 2017 für die Karriere ihres Sohne pausiert. Sind immer mitgereist zu seinen Auftritten. Anfänglich gehörte Kasachstan bis Ende der 80 Jahre noch zu Russland das änderte sich durch Gorbatschow, das Land hat sich von Russland gespalten, ebenso wie die Baltischen Staaten inklusive der Ukraine.

Hello!! Welcome to the Dimash era!!! The first time I heard Dimash I was surprised just like you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My first songs I heard from Dimash were SOS and Sinful passion. You will be tied up like all of his "dears”. That's what Dimash calls his fans and there are millions of us around the world. Dimash was born into a household of musicians. At age 5 he began training at a music school where he was diagnosed with "absolute pitch." At age 6 he won his first piano competition. He continued his studies and graduated from the University of Classical and Contemporary Music. He has a master's degree in composition and is pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He is a multi-instrumentalist (6), as well as a vocalist and composer. He has ventured into acting, audiovisual direction, dance, advertising modeling (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has won countless awards and honors throughout his career. The most surprising thing is that he is barely 30 years old. He speaks Kazakh (native language),Russian and English and studies Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 14 languages. Finally I will tell you that above all these characteristics, he is an extraordinary human being who loves peace, respectful of his parents, family and culture and the best ambassador of his country to the world!!!

I agree, this is a great performance from Bastau. I tell every new reactor to watch Bastau and The Singer, to see how he started, so they can appreciate what he can do in later performances and now.

I disagree he almost sounds sick he’s straining so much more here and has absolutely no low register whatsoever. I far prefer most of his other performances however he makes some really interesting different choices here
My favorite versions are Singapore with Hauser, Singer 2017 because you can see the shocked reactions of his competitors and the audience, and Slavic Bazaar because you can see his eyes. This one at Bastau is a distant 4th. The reactor is appreciating Dimash’s skill, though. 😀😄

I saw him live couple of weeks ago. It was outstanding. His voice was out of this world. His humility and humanity were even more impressive. He made time for communicating with fans between songs. Really listening. The fans were also an eye opener. Family with teenage kids. Old couples. People from many countries travel far just to see him. I had never heard that performance of SOS. His baritone wasn't as fully developed in 2017 as it is now. Try listening to Ogni Pietra/Olimpico or Stranger to get a good listen to his baritone.

You were right, there's a lot of work behind that voice. Dimash has studied music all his life and still practises daily. He is constantly looking for new ideas, sounds and techniques. Music is a neverending journey for him. This performance was part of "Bastau" (Beginning), his first solo concert for an international audience. Since then, he has hugely expanded his skills, his range and repertoire. He's now a seasoned, confident 30-year old world artist. But despite the success, he has still remained the same Dimash he was here. Which is awesome.

Thank you so much for reacting to Dimash - if you continue to explore his songs, you will never be disappointed! For any other vocalist, this performance would certainly be the pinnacle of their career. For Dimash, as spectacular as it is, this performance of SOS is generally not even considered his best performance of this song! Most Dears (Dimash’s name for his fans) will tell you the Slavic Bazaar version or the 2021 Digital Show version are the best. I love those, but my personal favorite is him singing from a studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival. I subscribed to your channel hoping for more Dimash reactions! ❤

The Story of One Sky, he composed all the music and sings through the whole 13 minutes, references to Imagine by John Lennon, and Michael Jackson's song about the saving of the Earth, he is an ambassador for peace also. We are blessed to have this human in our lives. So many masterpieces coming out of this soul.

He’s also sung with Placido Domingo from The 3 Tenors -Latin, AVE MARIA -vocalise. Igor Krutoy Russian composer/conductor came out of retirement to writ for and work with Dimas - he is classically trained from age 5 and opera is his foundation
