Yeah it’s weird, cause like let’s say hypothetically, Luka wins Dallas some chips or 2 mvps or breaks some Mavericks record... he’d still be regarded as the 2nd greatest Maverick cause of Dirks huge insurmountable legacy. Maybe the thought process will change in let’s say 60 years. But I feel the consensus for the next 30 years (long after Luka retires) will still have Dirk as the greatest Maverick of all time.

It’s crazy how one playoff run completely changed the way we view dirks career. If he didn’t win in 2011, especially the way he won, I think we would view him as a good regular season guy, who wasn’t “tough enough” to win a ring.

In skills and size, Doncic has the profile of a near-perfect NBA offensive player -- and perfection might just be a few percentage points of long-range accuracy away. With a 6-foot-7 frame, the vision of an owl and a magician's sleight of hand, Doncic can demoralize a defense any which way from any spot on the floor. But there are a few specific decisions that can improve an opponent's chance of survival.

I don't think Trae would have made the same impact, no disrespect whatsoever, but Trae needed a team like the Hawks where they can develop a little more while Luka is just ready for a franchise like the Mavs. *ALSO! All those dialects are sort of influenced by the surrounding countries. South: Austrian, Czech. West: France. North: Denmark... The same in the other direction. Dutch is understandable for a german when spoken. Near the borders you have some sort of culture and language mixtures.
