    Great video! Could you please do a review video of the bag? It would be great to see how it carries the board, the strap system, how easy/ hard it is to use, because lacroix takes a very different approach than boosted and evolve do, where they close the board inside the bag. This one seems more simple and straightforward. Would be great to know the details. Thanks!!

      cosmicUtensil great idea. Yeah I'll put together a video as soon as I can. It's pretty simple and it's nice you don't need to open the bag at all. I'll see if I can make a video some time this coming weekend. Thanks for watching.

    Great video man. How manageable is the board? Say like how bad would it be to carry for a reasonably strong person? Like for occasionally taking on trains and stuff like that? Also have you tried it in the rain? How does it perform?

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's really not too bad to carry around if you're going a short distance. You can pretty much roll it behind you like a piece of luggage. It's an irritant but not a deal breaker for me. It's about 27lbs so if you're reasonably strong you should be fine. Pretty much every electric board is a pain to carry long distance and this is no real exception. You can strap it to a backpack which is not too bad, but what I actually like using the most if I have to wheel it around for a long time is a dog leash around the front truck 😂. It works great! I talk about it in another video I've done. I've never ridden it in the rain and don't really plan to, so I can't really give you much feedback on that one. Hope this information helps. Thanks for watching.

    I almost bought a KalyNYC board but preordered a Lacroix. Can’t wait to finally receive it. PS: You should do the speed test. I think that board could go even faster than 31mph.

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Black Phillip cool bro. You'll love it. Yeah I actually hit 32mph today and it still felt like it had a little more to give. Plus it's the most stable board I've personally gotten to ride at speed. Much more stable feeling than what I had on my Kalynyc. Both are great boards of course but I prefer the lacroix.

    Can you go over the remote calibration process?

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's super simple actually. All you do is turn on the remote before you turn on the board and push the throttle and brake all the way to Mac each way. Then just turn on the board and let it pair. It takes like 5 seconds or less, super easy. The roll to start like on a meepo is more convenient undoubtedly, but this isn't no means a deal breaker in my opinion. I can make a video at some point if you feel that would be helpful.

    • @hellohogo
      @hellohogo 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your Source thank you. Just realized it’s on the website. Even on slow mode, this board flies!

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hellohogo yeah bro. This thing is no joke. The slower mode limits the board to 70% of its power. But with so much power, it's still very quick in the lower mode.

    • @hellohogo
      @hellohogo 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your Source absolutely. How stable do you feel at high speed? I’ve never ridden these style of trucks before. The boosted stealth is stiffer, but carves wayyy less. I love that I can u-turn on the Lacroix.

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hellohogo it's very stable. I would stay it's super stable up to around 28mph on the current setting I have them at. When cruising at speeds of about 22-25, which is max speed for most boards and on them you feel a bit sketchy unless you really tighten the trucks, the lacroix is chillin. If you want to hit top speed on this board, which is 33 on the website but I've done 34 on flat pavement, I would definitely recommend tightening the trucks just to be on the safe side. You down want to catch speed wobble going that fast. Hope that helps answer your question.

    • @yoursource3170

    • @galacticom

      I saw a video of an owner fine tuning his Lacroix wheels via FB Lacroix Forum. When he was done, he could literally spin the wheel w/ his finger w/ zero friction and zero wobble.

    Thanks for sharing review! Very interested in this board! I'm a bit disappointed they're still using a cheap $15 remote. The nano v2 is great for simple DIY builds (from experience), but for a $2,000-$3,000 investment, with some serious power, I'd really like to see a more reliable remote. What are your thoughts? Also, are there are throttle curve 'jolt' issues? I'm not an expert with programming VECS (which may be issue) but I continue to have that issue when using the 6374 motors.

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrewsplanes thanks for your comments. Yeah a special remote with multiple modes or something like that would be a nice addition but I have to day that I don't mind the nano V2. I do have an R2 for a evolve bamboo gt and it is a really good remote. Not having the extras is no deal breaker for me though. As long as the remote is reliable with good battery life and responsive I'm ok with it. But I see your point considering the price. To answer your question about the throttle I would say they did an excellent job on that. Even in the fast mode the take off is consistent and easy to control. It doesn't hammer you all at once but builds up. You do have to be prepared though because once you're rolling you really feel the power, especially on fast mode. I plan on discussing this further in another video.

    Nice video. Do you know what pinion you are running? Also have you tried eco mode? Looking for mellow acceleration for cruising/carving.

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Captain Clutch sorry I don't know the pinion but it might have that detail on their website. It has two speed modes. Both are very well tuned and user friendly in my opinion. The normal mode won't throw you off from a take off even if you hammer the throttle all the way. Even the fast mode is manageable. This board is awesome for cruising or high speed. It is super stable but still has great carving. The ability to climb just about any hill and even accelerate up most if you want is incredible. Thanks for your comments. I hope this helps.

    How long does it take to charge? Does your charger get really hot?

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't personally ran to the battery to empty yet so I couldn't say for sure from 0-100%. There website says about 3.5 hours for full charge though. Yeah the charger can get pretty warm. Don't know if that's unsafe at all in some scenarios but I've never had any problems.

    Would you say this board is pretty loud? I know you revved it up in the video but how about when actually riding it? A quieter board is important for me where I live unfortunately, but I really want this!
    Thanks!

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mr. E it's by no means silent but I also wouldn't say it's the loudest board or there either. In my opinion I would say that it actually has a pretty smooth sound while riding. I believe that the evolve I own has more of a grinding sound from the motors as compared to this board. I would also say that the Riptide R1 Elite that I had was higher pitched abs less pleasant to the ear. You will get more noise when you push it hard obviously but if you're taking it easy it's fairly subtle for a belt drive. Note that you can still go quite fast while only using a small portion of its power. It is still not as quiet as a hub motor off course but in my opinion it's just so much better. I hope this helps.

      Your Source Is the Lacroix that much better than the Kaly? I have a Gtx. I want something with more power with At wheels.

    • @yoursource3170
      @yoursource3170  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shahe Demirjian it kind of depends on want you're looking for. I do feel like the deck and truck setup is much better in my opinion. Kalys are still awesome boards of course though. The power delivery is also different. Both boards are super powerful with similar top speed and hill climbing. The lacroix is more smooth but still pulls hard with torque after you're rolling, and the kaly is more brutal in the power delivery. I've ridden both and I personally prefer the lacroix. But both are super fun. I haven't done a lot of off roading on my Lacroix but it definitely eats up short grass and gravel. I'm sure you would get much better grip off road if you put on some studded tires.
