Alex S Watch this video : th-cam.com/video/f7CW7S0zxv4/w-d-xo.html Moreover, all the things that the British had built which includes Railways, roads and infrastructure were collected from INDIANS through taxes and built by Indians labourers. Also, all these railway and road related things were not used for the intention of providing facilities to India but it was to serve as a medium of transporting goods from cities to cities for the benefit of the British. Saying India was under a good light under the rule (read loot) of British is same as saying that getting robbed is cool if the robber steals $1000 worth of cash, but also leaves behind a $10 coin, which happens to be built by the guy who got robbed. I can provide you 100 more facts to prove that the British is British only because of India and otherwise it would not have been wealthy
Alex S If you have spent a lot of time in India, then did you communicate with the people that were actually from the time when India was under British rule (people that would be 80 or 90 years old) Also, most Indians hate only one country, which is Pakistan and nobody hates British because nobody knows that British actually fucked up India's economy. The best way to ruin a country is to ruin the education system of it. The British changed the medium of education from local languages like Hindi to English and taught the Indian youth that they (British) are actually trying to develop India and not ruin India. The British spread the propaganda of separating the brothers (Hindus and Muslims) into 2 new countries (India and Pakistan) so that they can easily rule and loot India. As a matter of fact, Indians ended up fighting against themselves instead of fighting the real robber (British).
@Captain Starfricker yeah well that holds true for almost all ancient architecture all over the world. Plus road today are shit because of corrupt officials and not due to lack of planning/engineering.

Average Indian woman itself had 6 kids in 1962 and now in 2018, average woman has only 2 kids. Indian population shouldn't be blamed. India has been massively populated since the medieval age and that's why we have one of the highest population in the world!

Moreover, all the things that the British had built which includes Railways, roads and infrastructure were collected from INDIANS through taxes and built by Indians labourers.

If you have spent a lot of time in India, then did you communicate with the people that were actually from the time when India was under British rule (people that would be 80 or 90 years old) Also, most Indians hate only one country, which is Pakistan and nobody hates British because nobody knows that British actually fucked up India's economy.
BRITISH ROADS , BRITISH BUILDINGS , BRITISH ARCHITECTURE , BRITISH ENGINEERING , BRITISH CULTURE ... NEED I SAY MORE !
Are you trying to justify colonization? Sick
@Captain Starfricker yeah well that holds true for almost all ancient architecture all over the world. Plus road today are shit because of corrupt officials and not due to lack of planning/engineering.
Victoria/CSMT is not British architecture or culture. It's a blend of many and respectful of British and Indian culture. You however, hate yourself.
@@brocklesnar5385 especially the Land (once Mumbai was seven different Islands) British connected all of them for more space
@@ColtraneTaylor CSMT station's architecture looks a lot European-esque tho

I am born in 1958 , and i was staying in fort area behind handloom house. If you see the road is not having much traffic and its clean, the fire bridge staff used to clean the road in from of handloom house every Sunday morning. Mumbai was heaven.
Thank you Michael for sharing the wonderful memories of BOMBAY. Im 91 born & to see these beautiful memories of yesteryear is priceless. And yes BOMBAY was way better than todaY'S MUMBAI. we might have become advanced with Metros and Theatres but, the basics of CLEANLINESS still LACKS
It's bcz Bangladesh freedom war all millions came to India creates dharavi and Rohigays slum area in delhi and mumbai, they still coming. This whole westen press including iran qatar Russia shows only this place as India. Whole world think we all 1.4 billion live in poverty in near garbage bin and eat sand, also this narrative build by hollywood.
It was always Mumbai. We marathis always called it Mumbai. Mumbai isn't "today's" or back then.
@@kdjoshi726 Stop this regional/casteist bullshit & get out of it. My MSG is that it's not as clean as it was before, Mumbai kiwa Bombay swacch asne aavashyak aahe.
I'm an Indian and I don't need anyone's approval on calling it Mumbai or Bombay. Patla ka kaka?

only honest people...good roads, less people....I wish could go in that era

But there were many problems there no medical treatment and lack of communication

I am from Mumbai. Thanks for uploading!
its still the same only population explode
Ranjit Tyagi
India is a democratic country. We can't force Indians not have kids. Its their choice! Even Europeans has 10 kids when they were poor. Average Indian woman itself had 6 kids in 1962 and now in 2018, average woman has only 2 kids. Indian population shouldn't be blamed. India has been massively populated since the medieval age and that's why we have one of the highest population in the world!
The last building in the video is Gol Dewal near Null Bazaar. Did you notice that the city started to deteriorate in the 60s itself.
That time was a golden time and beautiful
That Is The Era Of My Grandfather Missing him 🥺
We can also enjoy this video without fake background sound effects, mumbai is great
With due respects, the madame at 1:12 and some girls at 1:14 were wearing beautiful dresses, 1:19 , maam also wore a beautiful dress, which some girls are not "allowed" to wear even now ! They looked graceful and portrayed beautiful modern ideas! No one is even looking at them in a wrong manner (of course I saw them only for 1 sec, can't draw observations but still, a vibe can be felt )!Oh Bombay , you were beautiful and so were your people and ambience! Things have changed once you became Mumbai, still you are been loved ferociously by Indians! ❤Hope that you restore your charm once again! Love, from Bhopal ❤😊
