I still think of all my friends from St Andrews High School and St Paul Rd in Bandra and what has happened to them. Many are all over the world, from Canada to Australia to the UK to the USA and one in New Zealand and one in Malta.

In Ontario, Canada schools went up to Grade 13 and then one went to university. I completed Grade 13 in 1974. I am now 65 years old and still think of friends from Bandra and where they have all ended up. I do go to India to visit family in Mumbai. I was in Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in February 1920 and I do wish to go back soon for another visit.

Exactly 💯. I was born in 1989 in Lower Parel Bombay. Worli Dadar were so connected. I have clear memories of my kindergarten and grade 1-6 days. Every thing like infrastructure, shops, eateries started to change after 2002. Till the time I was in grade 10 everything was commercialized to the core. Going to worli sea face was entirely different.
Most of the people we see here have most probably died within these years. Only the kids, teenagers, and a few lucky people who were in there 30s and 40s are living now. That's also shocking.
At 9:38 we see how the new India was built upon the sweating heads of the poor, especially women and children struggling for "Do waqt ka roti", I can't phantom, how many of these guys went underpaid or unpaid as well, how many of them had starving children and parents at home, I turn emotional when I see the poor.
In 1960s and 1970s lot of my villagers used to live in Mumbai they came back once Textile mills and other industry were closed, some went to middle eastern countries while rest opted govt services and small business, even few were Goondas. some of them are still there.
just imagine the same video in todays time with same people in it. many of them will be missing and all of them will be old. imagine playing both side by side.
