I have seen several bands where the personal roadie has some thing like this, I saw some guitarist once that as he would flip picks out toe the crowd the roadie would throw him another and he would grab them in the air and keep playing, and they had it down really good like a side show going on, definitely had taken years on the road to get it that good.
I only opened up TH-cam to check out a reggae band that my friend wanted to go see tonight and then this came up as a suggestion. Let's just say I'm in NO mood for that reggae band now! ;D

@poshi12 You're right that it's a P bass. PJ set up but it kind of looks like the Jazz pickup is a humbucker. I know one thing for sure though. I want that bass.
Pete Agassi Hey Pete, I just mentioned that he looks young back then. I still love all of his music, beside nin, the soundtracks he makes for movies, games...don't care that he's old now. Nothing changes. He is a God for me. (sorry for my vocabulary)
+AlthoughNotAFollower You're right. In my opinion every nin era have somenthing amazing in it. Although i saw them only once in 2013, i wish i could see something beyond 2000^ and up to our present year, but unfortunately i was born in 1995
2 things: 1. The guy who posted this vid is a chad for still replying so many years later 2. The verses go 3/4 - 3/4 - 3/4 - 4/4, and then the chorus goes 4/4 - 4/4 - 4/4 - 6/4. I got this from the NIN wiki, hope it helps
He is actually right. At least is really appears that way. Just look at 1:06 when he goes to the microphone to scream "I..." he doesn't make it there but the volume is steady and the attack is there as if he had his mouth right in front of the mic for the whole phrase. Who know though, they could have gotten a terrible live mix in that room and decided to record the vocals alone afterward so they had something "worthy of releasing to the public."
Is the audio that's playing the actual raw audio from the footage? Because they don't actually look like they are soloing at all, and from the way North is moving/thrashing his guitar around I don't think those patch cables would stay plugged in to their pedals for very long.
this would only be possible if they played to a synced track, with a digital metronome. As for as i can tell none of them wairs in-ears, and there is no synced track playing from a monitor. All of course, as far as i can tell :) If a drummer playes this loud with ear protection it would we very very hard to hear the synced track from a monitor. Scenario 2 would be Trent overdubbing the vocal after the recording, but he would need a steady cam on his face to be able to lip sync. It does sound very direct and good, but what with a good mic and proper mixing, and separating tracks for recording before they enter the room board ;)
Why have live musicians for what can be accomplished by a Sampler? I never understood that. Its the same Bass line & drum beat for the while f'n song.I miss the old NIN
Dude, wtf did you just say? And shame on the rest of you candy assed rough-putters for it taking six years to call this prick out! Hey, why am I even writing this comment?! I am sure that I could find a nearby comment that I could copy paste and do the job! Please don't breed.
"Why even have _live_ performers perform in a _live_ performance." Sorry, I know someone else called you out on this already but is your head too far up your ass to see how stupid this sounds? At this point why don't we just have the goddamn album play over the speakers and be done with it.
i always state; would you rather have sex to digital metronome, telling you which pace to go... or, would you rather sync up with eachother and have the symbiotic flow determine the pace? same goes for music, any sensual musician would prefer the last.
trents voice here is mindblowing
Yep !! 🤯🤯👌🏼👌🏼
Its a rare white shirt Trent!!!! Holy!!!
he looks really good in it
yup, Twiggy kicks over mic stand, mic stand guy resets it, Twiggy kicks it over again, Aaron stomps mic stand & repeat! fucking priceless
fixed and THANK U ... my bad ..I had a massive brain fart I believe ... too many falls down stairs ...😜😜😜✌️
@@A_New_Yorker_Lost_In_Florida Actaully Aaron hits it over the first time with his guitar. Then mic guy. Then Twiggy. Then Aaron again. And again. 😂

Love the look of the band during this time.
this has become one of my favorite NIN songs
It's all about NIN. The drummers definitly feelin' this song.
MASTERPIECE !!! 😈🔥👹💥👌🏼👌🏼 AND I LOVE THIS LINE UP.... 👹🔥💥😈👌🏼👌🏼🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Should have been the album cut. this is the way I want to hear it
Roger Wilco yeah I can’t have the studio version on repeat, but this one I can have blasting through my headphones all day
This goes so unbelievably raw
you should check out this band called tool
Unbelievably good performance of this song.
That bass sound's FUCKIN' dope!!!!!!!!

1:51 nice kick twiggs
i wish there was a video of dave grohl doing the drums for this track
Teeth out, hair flopping. I would love this so much
Yes how about the whole QOTSA line up w Trent and Mark Lanegan on vocals w Dave Ghrol smashing the drums
“I agree with you.”😌
@@enriqueortiz5036 So you're saying he would be WITTHAA TEHTHUU
1:39 - Stage hand puts mic stand back up.
1:51 - Jeordie kicks it down again.
I lol'd.
😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂
With Teeth is still my favorite NIN album. ❤
NIN ROCKING
Looks like the same place that the "The Hand That Feeds" music video was filmed.
Yes it was.. and the song everyday is exactly the same.. its their rehearsal i think 2007
@@chxzzychxzz7574 This was filmed in 2005, but released in 2007. It’s the same area if I’m not mistaken.

I Bet the teachers were FOREVER telling Aaron to sit still at school.
"Fabulous drumming"
His voice was of the angels during this time period. Just like Scotty.
My little angel boy.
i wish the camera man zoomed in on the bass pedals lol. i want that tone so bad
Saw him 6months later live for the wave goodbye tour
the wave goodbye tour was in 2009 when TR took a hiatus, this is a With Teeth (2005) era performance
Nice guitar, Hagstrom II by the looks of it! played by Kurt cobain for a short time as well
Glorious!👍🎶💪
that and the fact that they're the EXACT album version!
Agreed x2 that said, I'd have killed to see Grohl play with NIN, can you even imagine?
It's live it's live and Trent is fucking scary looking!awesome!!;)

This some chrunchy rock and roll...!
aaron and jeordie are the best :D
They had such amazing chemistry on stage

I know one thing for sure though. I want that bass.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the being Aaron North's guitar tech must have been a tiny bit frustrating LOL
I like Josh but also I like Dillon and Ilan. I think they're all very capable drummers.
Agree 100%!!! And I think that Josh was the best drummers in the band. Ilan is excellent, but Josh is supreme!
i miss aaron and his hagstøm
@chile1 Looks like they're rehearsing in th bat bunker from The Dark Knight LOL! Does anyone know what that arm band thing is on Trent's arm?
Trent Reznor is "The Matrix" A.I. expressing itself...
Like it was recorded yesterday....
Yeah!
Description:
“NIN. Nine Inch Nails.
TR. Trent Reznor.”
Yep, that’s what those stand for.
I was the 1000th like
He who puts the first dislike will collect blames until the last one...!
awesome
This is the last time Trent looked young.
true..
zogmorp Who gives a shit what he looks like? As long as he can still play and make music that's what matters.

Lmao he's 50 now and still looks 40 not sure if you'd look the same if you were 50
this is music.
What the hell were the lyrics
NIN FTW!
dat bass
@hyphext It's a Fender JazzBass.
i swear this guy knows me
jeordie: can't you see Aaron is kicking that
I agree. Josh is master of Trent's penchant for non-traditional time signatures... ie March of the Pigs and this track.
This is Jerome Dillon tho
0:25 😏
?
The unhhh?
It's a Fender Precision :)
Fender Precision Deluxe Bass w/ musicman pickup in bridge.
Has anyone figured out what time signatures this is? There's absolutely modulation but I need to know
if you mean when was the rehearsal, and where was it published, it's the dvd "beside you in time" 2007.

looks like someone's guitar hero controller isn't activating Star Power.
i wish i could let it go insain.
does anybody know what guitar Trent is holding ?
That's a gibson
Is Beauty !! 🎸❤👌🏼
les paul
Jeordie was sick in nin
what Makes u say that, the head shaking+ lack of volume change??
who is on drums here?
Jerome Dillon. He had an accident and he was replaced by Alex Carapetis, then came Josh Fresse for a long time.
And now Ilan Rubin!
kick ass drummer and nice guy
@@Stancanelli he didnt have an accident lol

Look so uncomfortable in the attire. Reminds me of the 60's. Nice threads but so hot. Shorts and a T for me.
What's origin of that version? Where can I buy it
Nine Inch Nails Live "Beside You In Time" DVD.
No I think this is live, because if Trent was not singing really he would have seen the children playing with the mike stand!
2:00 - Aaron seals the deal.
beat that mic stand!

Aaron North is the shit!
Bring back Twiggy.
I’m absolutely on the same page
Utterly sick. Gold standard of sick
Even tho my least fav band version of NIN, this is def magical.....
I don't want to know what reznor would like to swallow, god saves NIN!
This is so punk
Aaron North is god
and the second guitarist (red) never worked again...
What this guitar player thinks he is doing?
Dave Grohl gives that drumbeat a bit more funk on the album but I love the band’s energy here
I LOVE THAT TOO..,, IS HARD !!! 🤘🏼😈🔥👹💥🤘🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
The lyrics are me
Of course they are.

i think it wos the last gud song from the nin
