If there is a Rouge, Furry Warrior, or Frost DK in my group I will drop Sundering for WF Totem, since these classes and specs benefit the most from it. Glad I could help! Good luck with the prog! In ST when you open with PWave you can spend that 10 malestrom on Elemental blast, then build maelstrom to follow up with a lightning bolt for your haste buff. GLHF! 😁
Thanks for the guide, even though I will continue to play storm currently. Despite many guides, I still get twice the damage and DPS with my stormbuild on the current dolls as with the elemental build and I wonder if I'm too stupid or something fundamentally wrong. However, I agree with some who think the shaman needs a rework. A lot of skills don't feel good for me on the shaman, especially the ice variants. Have a great day.
No problem! I’m glad you’re performing well with storm still. I find the storm build a lot of fun to play. Feels more traditional enh shaman imo. We do have a ton of buttons and I wouldn’t mind seeing a rework in War Within. Stormstrike is still the most fun button to press by far!

How does it generally do at the moment in PvE as well as in PvP (though PvP doesn't really interest me at the moment). And how does it feel to play? Is it fun and engaging? Is the rotation smooth? Does everything interlink and work good together? And how difficult is it really, as I heard a lot how complicated this spec can be. Hi Jonathan! Merry Christmas to you! At the moment enhancement shaman is fairly strong in PvE. In high end raiding there are typically two being ran per group to buff demon hunters and rogues with Windfury Totem. For Mythic+ content we are typically taken since we are an A-tier class and bring a lot of utility in terms of CC, cleanses, and off healing. As far as it goes for PvP I haven’t played enough this season to know how we preform. If you’re planning on doing BGs and World PvP you will have fun and be fine. I’d expect you could hit a wall in high ranked Arenas though. The spec is a lot of fun to play and if you find this one challenging the Storm build is much easier to play and less punishing while still being enjoyable. The elementalist rotation is smooth but very responsive. You won’t always be hitting the same buttons in the same order over and over. There’s a level on RNG to it but it’s very satisfying when you get the rhythm of it. This version of the spec is considered challenging and will take some time to get use too. Storm will be easier to learn and play. But don’t let that discourage you from learning it! It’s a very fun spec with a lot of room to improve and learn. Once you get the hang of it it’s a blast! Some strong points of the elementalist build is strong AoE and ST damage no matter if you’re running purely ST or AoE. We also bring a lot of utility to a group especially in M+. Short interrupt CD, knock up, stuns, totems for a few different situations and off healing. Hope this was helpful! Let men know if you have any other questions 😄
Absolute banger of a video man. Definitely one of the best guide videos I’ve seen down. Explained perfectly for those of us new to enhancement. Anything specific we should run for defensives specifically during raid?
Astral Shift is your main defensive CD and it’s on a 90sec cooldown (with the talents I show) that provides you damage reduction. The only other defensive is Earth Elemental but he’s on a 5min CD and gives you an HP boost but in raiding you’ll probably only use that once a fight. Stoneskin totem at the bottom of the tree is 10% physical damage reduction for your group on a 30sec cooldown. Then Ancestral Guidance is great to use during massive group damage to help your healers, converts your damage to group healing.
Best enchantment shaman guide def, just getting into the spec it’s not easy but the prio cheat sheet helps out a ton ❤ I only have one question what I couldn’t figure out that in the single target opener if you don’t proc hot hands how come stormstrike is before lava lash? Glad I could help! The ST section is a little out dated. ST you will actually Lava Lash first and only use Stormstrike if everything else is on CD and you don’t have maelstrom to spend. I throw it in there for the maelstrom gain. The ST rotation maybe a little out of date but here is your opener. Primordial Wave < Feral Spirits < Elemental Blast < Lava Lash < Frost Strike < Frost Shock < IF at 7-10 Malestrom lightning bolt for PWave buff IF not Stormstrike then Lightning bolt It’s important to try and get two elemental blast off during Feral Spirit windows.
Great video! You just gained a subscriber :) Quick question, why is Lava Burst mandatory in the build? Is there any case where you would use lava blast? Also, if I want to use Elemental Blast in the M+ Aoe build, what talent would you remove?
You will want Lava Burst for single target encounters. But since I have made this video I have dropped WF Totem and taken elemental blast in M+. It’s just producing better damage during boss encounters overall. If you ever are fighting just two targets you will want to do your single target rotation and use Elemental Blast, for example the Bears in Darkheart Thicket. Hey, I was just thinking to try enhancement on my alt, and I was wondering if you ever press lava burst, because you didn't even mentioned that ability :)
You definitely should try it on your alt! Elemental Blast will replace lavabburst. In single target you will open with Primordial Wave and Elemental blast then build maelstrom and use lightning bolt around 8-10 stacks. After that you will want use Elemental Blast charges when Ghost Wolves are active, you ideally want to use both charges during a ghost wolf window. Outside of a ghost wolf window you will only use it if your at two charges otherwise you will use lightning bolt. During AOE you can use it anytime your capped at two charges but you can get away with just using Primordial Wave + lightning bolt. Then spend malestrom on chain lightning. Using elemental blast during AOE is min maxing.
Hey, thx for the guide.. whats your opinon on crafting a weapon (no fang) then shadowflame(belt), then sporecloak?? im playing strictly pug hc raids( for early gear) and keys above 3000 rating, aiming for top 1% again. Wasnt fang embellishment like 1-1,2% dps last patch? Id say sporecloak is better if it helps with surviving?
You will definitely want to craft armguards since it’s hands down our best embellishment. I’d recommend doing them over the belt. Fang embellishment is a very small DPS boost and is nice to have early on, but if already have crafted gear from last season with embellishments you can skip adding it since you will remove it later for sporecloak. In your scenario I would suggest your crafting order to be, weapon, armguards, and then sporecloak.

@@slimehead89 The Adaptive Dracothyst Armguards are nutty. You’ll either get 12sec of Vers and Crit OR Mastery and Haste depending on the situation. Just started using them last season and they’re incredible.
That bar is apart of Luxthos weakaura package for shamans. It will include everything you see on the center of my screen. If you google Luxthos WeakAura you will find it 😊
The talent suggestions here for aoe (m+) are lacking EB, which in most cases is going to provide far more value to you than WFT in a key. I would probably end up dropping WFT for EB and dropping swirling for 1/2 EA. The rotation priority you put up seems to be a lovechild of both the ST and AOE priorities rather than one or the other, or both separately - as indicated by how high LL is on the prio. In an ST scenario it certainly would be, but not at all in AoE would it be above max msw spenders (and on that note, Ashen Catalyst doesn't quite matter as much anymore). Also, the ST opener with T31 is going to prioritize sending EB at 10MSW from PW rather than LB, and it should be noted that EB only overtakes LB as a spender within wolves windows or when sitting at 2 charges in ST. It also looks like in your AoE rotation example that despite playing lashing flames, you aren't cycling targets to apply the amp damage on FS (which is an insane part of the damage from that build). So this guide is kind of getting there, but not quite on the mark. Not trying to flame, just pointing out what I saw at a glance.
Great note on dropping Windfury Totem for Elemental Blast in M+. The rotation priority is definitely a love child to both ST and AOE rotations. Was aiming to keep as simple as possible. That happens sometimes especially at lower keys. You could always try PW a target then flame shock another into the lightning bolt to get some haste out of it.
It’s a WeakAura and it comes with all the information I highlighted minus my must recent abilities. You can find a link in the description or just google Luxthos WeakAuras. Highly recommend it! I use his weakaura’s for all my characters.
Elemental blast is the choice node right below Windfury Totem in the Enchancement tree. In my description you can find my base talent builds import codes. The import codes for them can be copy pasted into WoW by selecting the drop down menu in the lower left hand corner of the talent tree window. Let me know if have any other questions! You will want to use it when it's around 5-6 stacks of Ashen Catalyst. It should be the last button you hit if it hasn't proc. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Sims are trending towards elementalist at the moment. I think in ST though you can get away with playing whichever build you enjoy more with very little dps loss. M+ though elemntalist is outperforming storm by a lot due to P.Wave fitting more naturally into the build. As always though play what you enjoy! 😊
Two max IL Soulrending Claw technically is. The BiS list is at 9:44 and show's the alternative weapon of Igira's Hatchet. Early on though if you aren't pushing high keys or getting the drops/vaults you want Obsidian is going to the best.
Enhanced, the rotation is fucked up. I’m 472 and can’t go higher than 100k in a dungeon boss fight. I have almost the same stats. I think I do something wrong about the rotation… last mm+ a pack of 5-6 mobs I finished with 120k dps! I don’t understand. meanwhile warrior fury easy rotation.
Areas I commonly see people make mistakes are Single Target: Not using Lava Lash enough. Use every time it’s glowing and keep it on CD. Not using Elemental Blast while your Feral Spirits are out. Not keeping PW on CD and using lightning bolt. Frost strike and Frost shock are just filler abilities. Stormstrike is what you hit when everything else is on CD. AOE: Open with PW (flame shock if PW is on CD) followed by Feral Spirits. Crash lightning into Lava Lash to spread Flame Shock. Then your just going to build maelstrom with the ST rotation while keeping Crash Lightning on CD and every time your at 8 or more maelstrom chain lightning. Always use PW and Feral Spirits when it’s off cooldown. Keep them suckers on CD!
@@YaBoySquints thanks I appreciated the response. I clearly did something working lol i’ve always prioritised stormstrike even when it’s not glowing. Lava Lash I use every time it is up that’s ok. Maybe I have bad luck and I don’t get enough procs :(
@@LuisSantos-vz7jy it takes a lot of practice, once you get the hang of it though it’s a blast. Stormstrike should be your least used ability. In ST your top abilities should be Lava Lash, Elemental Blast, Lightning Bolt with Forst Shock and Frost Strike behind. In AOE it’s Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Forst shock, lava lash. Just have dump maelstrom and crash lightning. Let me know if you have any questions! Good luck and have fun!
Remove icestrike, and hailstorm from the enhancement shaman. Honestly, this is why I stopped playing it. Just feels terrible. ice strike feels like a level 1 ability that was supposed to be canned at 10. hailstorm feels like an ability that shouldn't exist, at all and feels bad with overlapting abilities that want to do the same thing. Enhance feels really bad to play, with nothing feeling impactful, or different from each other. the only ability that does something interesting is lava lash. Hitting that feels bad, always has for me. It's always been a filler, suddenly now it's the new stormstrike. The class truly, truly needs an absolute complete redesign. Completely. What an absolute mess.

If lava lash doesnt proc, which priority is it?
You will want to use it when it's around 5-6 stacks of Ashen Catalyst. It should be the last button you hit if it hasn't proc. Let me know if you have any other questions :)
Will Elementalist be superior to Storm this season for raid/ST?
Sims are trending towards elementalist at the moment. I think in ST though you can get away with playing whichever build you enjoy more with very little dps loss. M+ though elemntalist is outperforming storm by a lot due to P.Wave fitting more naturally into the build.

Is obsidian really BiS?
Two max IL Soulrending Claw technically is. The BiS list is at 9:44 and show's the alternative weapon of Igira's Hatchet. Early on though if you aren't pushing high keys or getting the drops/vaults you want Obsidian is going to the best.
Enhanced, the rotation is fucked up. I’m 472 and can’t go higher than 100k in a dungeon boss fight. I have almost the same stats. I think I do something wrong about the rotation… last mm+ a pack of 5-6 mobs I finished with 120k dps! I don’t understand. meanwhile warrior fury easy rotation.
Areas I commonly see people make mistakes are
Single Target: Not using Lava Lash enough. Use every time it’s glowing and keep it on CD. Not using Elemental Blast while your Feral Spirits are out. Not keeping PW on CD and using lightning bolt. Frost strike and Frost shock are just filler abilities. Stormstrike is what you hit when everything else is on CD.
AOE: Open with PW (flame shock if PW is on CD) followed by Feral Spirits. Crash lightning into Lava Lash to spread Flame Shock. Then your just going to build maelstrom with the ST rotation while keeping Crash Lightning on CD and every time your at 8 or more maelstrom chain lightning.
Always use PW and Feral Spirits when it’s off cooldown. Keep them suckers on CD!
@@YaBoySquints thanks I appreciated the response. I clearly did something working lol i’ve always prioritised stormstrike even when it’s not glowing. Lava Lash I use every time it is up that’s ok. Maybe I have bad luck and I don’t get enough procs :(
@@LuisSantos-vz7jy it takes a lot of practice, once you get the hang of it though it’s a blast. Stormstrike should be your least used ability. In ST your top abilities should be Lava Lash, Elemental Blast, Lightning Bolt with Forst Shock and Frost Strike behind. In AOE it’s Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Forst shock, lava lash. Just have dump maelstrom and crash lightning.

Honestly, this is why I stopped playing it. Just feels terrible.
ice strike feels like a level 1 ability that was supposed to be canned at 10.
hailstorm feels like an ability that shouldn't exist, at all and feels bad with overlapting abilities that want to do the same thing.
Enhance feels really bad to play, with nothing feeling impactful, or different from each other. the only ability that does something interesting is lava lash. Hitting that feels bad, always has for me. It's always been a filler, suddenly now it's the new stormstrike.
The class truly, truly needs an absolute complete redesign. Completely. What an absolute mess.
Compared to other classes rotation it is very messy. Wouldn’t mind seeing a rework. Possibly we get one in The War Within!
