i still haven't seen the movie but this song moves me beyond words. i have seen videos get 57mil hits i am amazed this one hasn't even got at least a mil. why don't people get it. i guess it just needs a mass market add campaign. bowersox helped some. her version was great.
Well. According to the title, you only see the love of your life once. After that, you do what you have to do. Like the girl in the story. She needed to take care of her daughter and get back with her ex. Sometimes you can't have what you want, but you do best with what you have. I liked the ending because it would defeat the symbolism of "once" if the boy and girl stayed together.

One thing I know about music is that it has to have feeling and dynamics. This song has both. Gives me goose bumps everytime I hear it.
