    I've been sewing for over 50 years and I love your videos! Started following you when you were designing masks. Very talented. I still learn so much from you! You can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks for the quality videos and patterns!

    It would've been helpful to use a top fabric and lining with a more pronounced contrast. It was very hard to follow video because lining fabric looked the same on both sides...

      @sylviakleppinger5345 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, I had trouble how the top lining was done. I had to watch that section 4 times!😂

      On the TH-cam screen you see the 3 dots. You can change the play back speed as slow as you want. And you can read her directions better.

    it would have been easier to follow if you used contrasting colors for lining and outside. Also, I had to constantly refer back to your website to review the photos and instructions because the video is going to fast and I had to slow it down several times and with the white/light color fabric, the camera lighting is fading and you can't really tell if it is the interfacing or actual fabric. I also think the Adult size runs quite large and for the ladies, i would recommend using the child pattern. But thank you for the free pattern, I'll give it another try using the child's pattern!

      I TOTALLY agree... oy vey, I am seeing flashing lights trying to watch and figure out seams and sides. But disagree about the head size, having a 23inch + head myself! I've made a ton of wide brimmed hats that are reversible so thought it would be easy.

  • @PhotoKaz

    I do so wish you had chosen two very different patterns/colors for the two sides (and that I hadn't picked s batik for one of MY sides) Have to watch this over and over to get some of the parts, but thanks for the pattern. Have to enlarge to over 23 inches for MY head. So funny that others think the adult hat is TOO big. We are all different sizes! And for anyone watching it goes more smoothly with sound/music off...esp if you are a little tense about getting it right!

      The way i followed it is that you litterally make one hat out of your first fabric and then another from your second fabric. Put one hat inside the other and sew around the brim leaving hole to turn out. Turn hats right side out and press and then top stitch the brim. Hope this helps as ive made 10 of these this way and it works really well. Enjoy xxx

    I got through the tutorial and made a cute hat for my 3yr old son. I bought her pattern off Etsy, which I recommend. However, the fabric colors are too similar, and the video is way too rushed. It seems as though she doesn't really want to show you. It reminded me of when my Italian mother-in-law demonstrates how to make one of her secret recipes that she doesn't actually want me to master...

    Okay, so I have a BIG head 😆 hats don’t usually fit me. How would I add a little bit (okay maybe 1in) to the pattern to make it fit a little better (I like my bucket hats to be kinda more loose then tight). Would I have to add an inch all the pattern pieces?

    Can anyone figure out if the brim should have two sets of interfacing? One for the main fabric and one for the "second" fabric? I am a bit confused because on the pattern is says 2 pcs of interfacing. And on the video it looks like she made 4 pcs, one set for the main fabric and then one set for the "second" fabric.
    Thanks in advance!

    • @lucycarneiro
      @lucycarneiro 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The interface is only for the main fabric, the lining is not necessary. The interfacing is for the main fabric only, for lining you don't need it.
