  • Cirrus Aircraft today announced its new, world-class Private Pilot Program designed to teach anyone to learn how to fly an SR Series Cirrus aircraft and earn their pilot’s license. The Private Pilot Program provides an immersive ground school training partnered with a dedicated Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP) or Cirrus Training Center (CTC) to help students complete their Private Pilot License (PPL) in a Cirrus aircraft.

    Congratulations Cirrus Aircraft! I wish something like this was available when I was learning to fly 20 years ago. Your training materials and standardized operating procedures are truly exceptional in general aviation. Keep up the great work!

    Nice vid! My 12-y.o. grandson has shown an interest in flying, so I will look into this Cirrus program. 40 years ago, when in uni, I had got started toward a private licence but never finished (due to starting a family). I read an interesting book some years ago on the development of the first Cirrus and recall the flak the company got for the parachute-- saved some lives now, I see. 👍 BTW, it's via "GA SR22 Pilot" that I'm here. Big up, Gavin!

    Maybe the training will encourage fewer selfies and a pre-flight review of the plane? 😃

    this is how you sell your product! this ceo, hmm, yes, we need to watch him. he may on that glide path to take over an Apple, or Disney.
    now, if he can get his engineering teams to further automate a few processes, like switching fuel tanks.
    i would love to see more space on the inside planes as an innovation. also an additional safety feature, if all else fails glide for a few 100 miles, catching the thermal waves, lol.
    to the ceo, excellent initiative. you sir deserve a raise.

    Wow, almost makes me want to be starting over again..... well, not really. This looks like a great program, all the Cirrus approach courses I've been through are top notch, interesting and worthwhile. I wish this was around when I got my PPL. Great job Cirrus.

    Cirrus SR22 is my dream plane. I’m a 53 year old student with over 100 hours and my own plane (grounded for mag check failure). Guessing I can’t afford it?

    One thing I was looking for in this video, was understanding the path for those who wouldn’t mind getting their pilots license in this plane through this curriculum, but are wanting to further their career to any other ratings past this course. For instance, if one would want to become a commercial pilot in the future, is this a good course to go through for that.

      Yeah I was wondering the same. This program looks more tailored to train future "customers", not so much future pilots.

      @@pasofino9583 as of now I haven’t. I’ve been looking into more courses that are regionally credited for my tuition reimbursement, basically a different route.. I don’t have time to roll the dice on something you, me and a lot of others see mystical grey areas. I think Cirrus planes are awesome. But I need something “pretty” guaranteed.

      @@hellogoodbye9345 that was the same vibe I was getting. That would be awesome if I wasn’t seeking a career and just wanted to fly them, they are awesome planes!. But I’m not finding the answers for this.

    • @spencerelliott981
      @spencerelliott981 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@Avazhi I suspect the job of the marketing department is to attract new customers, not make videos for the existing ones. Besides, I fly hundreds of hours each year in Cirrus aircraft with dozens or hundreds of Cirrus customers, and the point you seem to be making isn't correct is my experience.

    • @Avazhi
      @Avazhi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@spencerelliott981 The point I'm making is pretty simple: In the current environment, making outrageous political statements and insinuations in advertising material is apt to backfire horribly (see: Bud Light). In the end though, this is a multi-million dollar plane and not a fungible beer brand, so it's not a perfect comparison. That doesn't mean it isn't absolutely laughable to watch, though.

      Rumor has it that because of your very helpful feedback, Cirrus marketing is putting their top men on a director’s cut for sensitive viewers. You can rest assured that it’s safe to put the keyboard down. Relief is on the way.
