Nightingale singing in Cambridgeshire - Singende Nachtigall

Nightingales galore at Paxton Pits this year. I was lucky to have one "all to myself" for 3 1/2 wonderful minutes. This video is dedicated to Heidi who so much wanted to hear and see a nightingale, but never did.

this is the first time I have ever heard a recording of a nightingale, truly a beautiful song. I think I might get emotional if I heard one in person thinking of you and your Heidi.

thank you so much for this gift! i love them. in the recent week, i had a nightingale here visiting two nights in a row, in the late night, he or she would sing and i would respond and so it went on, happily for an hour or two. i even went walking near the tree, but the little one would stop singing when i was too close by. :) *v* blessings and love, darlene p.s. i ought to have found some way to record, but was so happy just to hear him or her, i could not break away from singing/talking w.him.

Thank you , dear Annie. I was so lucky today. My camera is relatively old, but still quite good, but I had problems with my new lightweight tripod. It was jerky. Should have taken the heavier one.

Thank you for your lovely comments and for liking my video. I am surprised that you have already heard one singing (a male, the female does not sing, but she calls). Do you live in the Netherlands? If so, they should arrive in the UK soon as well. I want to go back where I heard one sing.

@salsahund1 Ich habe die Nachtigall heute vor einem Jahr gefilmt. Der 1. Mai hat für mich eine besondere Bedeutung (ich habe an dem Tag vor vielen Jahren meinen Mann kennengelernt), und wir wollten heute wieder dorthin. Leider ist das Wetter nicht gut genug. Vielen Dank für den Kommentar.
