I'd love to hear which humble trait you're most interested in building at this time? I'm really focused on being less judgemental.

I only found your channel a few days ago and I LOVE it! I enjoy art and do it most days BUT I can be so held back by perfectionism and after being excited to create I sit and look at an empty page and all my excitement drains away as I don’t have the energy to be perfect! Your scribble practice is eye opening. Kinda scarey for someone who likes a page that looks like a planned art piece but it’s a practice that I need and want to get into. I see what you do and it’s so freeing. Thanks for being YOU and sharing yourself with us. X

Welcome, I'm so happy to have you here!
"I don't have the energy to be perfect!" Oh gosh, do I ever relate to those words!!! Striving to be perfect is so freaking exhausting!
I also understand how scary it is to get started making a mess. It feels totally foreign and "wrong" at first. Be as gentle as you can with yourself and ease yourself in. Maybe try setting a timer for one minute and putting scribbly marks on a page for that small amount of time. That way you can blame the clock for the mess. Or one of these activities may help you get started as many offer a bit more "form": th-cam.com/play/PLAuKw2KjRwWcgCgmNSDnxh1YL-s-BAI8Q.html&si=DwSk48ZZbMHpe1cU
Please remember I've been doing this for a decade. The looseness I feel now is not how I felt when I started. It felt so awkward and tight at first. And even still I have awkward and tight days. I've realized I'm not trying to get rid of any of these feelings, just learning to become more comfortable with them when they show up.
