7:50 Maricopa resident here, these types of drivers infuriate me. I would give the car ahead of me 2-3 seconds space for safety and some jackhole would slip into that space thinking I'm being too careful and they need to get ahead.
The lady saying “one car length” following distance is referring to one car length per 10 mph, which kinda works, but requires calculating. The National Safety Council says three seconds. So watch the car ahead pass a point, road sign etc. and count the seconds until your car passes the same point. When I was taught defensive driving in the late sixties, early seventies,(once in high school and again for a delivery job at a car dealership when I was 17) I was taught two seconds and that was the National Safety Council recommendation back then. Anti-lock, four wheel disc brakes, super sticky tire compounds with much bigger contact patch, collision avoidance systems and still they have to increase the following distance by 50%. Maybe it’s time to require a little more training before we let people drive a two ton missile. Just spitballing here. 😐
We use two seconds in the UK using the same technique but saying the phrase “ only a fool breaks the two second rule” Training in the UK is far higher than what’s required in USA, there is a theory test with a hazard perception section, then a driving exam lasting 30-40 minutes. During which you drive in different speed zone areas and have to carry out a minimum of three manoeuvres, such as reverse parking, turn in the road, driving/reversing into a parking spot.
@@guyr7351 It's changed actually, regarding manoeuvres, but they have also added "driving under GPSS instruction" and a couple of other things, like "Show and tell" which were not there when I took it years ago. Same idea though, and definitely more demanding than the test I took here, which was essentially "drive around the block without hitting anyone or speeding."

66 yr old and Speeding tickets...... zero!!!
I’m 64 and only one speeding ticket and that was on Quantico Marine Corps Base and I was new to the base and missed the posted speed and didn’t realize how much slower the speeds are on military bases. I’m not saying I don’t speed, but I only go about 5-7 miles over the limit or go with a large group. There’s always somebody going 15+ over to draw the attention away from me 😉
I'm 30 been driving about 14 years gotten 1 ticket for an accident and only been pulled over once
“ I live on the mountain of right that’s where I reside” nahhh sloup is the best😂😂
I love this Cop. I want to live where all the cops are tough and smart just like this guy. I would feel very safe in his city.
Perfect!! That stop with the kid was handled Exactly how it should be handled Every time he gets pulled over!! Including the "Father" getting a ticket, mailed to him if he's not present...
This cop kicks @$$!!! 👍
Question: in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area, any place a cop tows a car to will be $150-$250 a day. Even if your car gets stolen, itll be towed to these places until you pick it up. This is criminal. Same in Arizona?
Dude's got a weird, narcissistic vibe about him
OH man!
"What did you go to court for?"
*"Driving without a license."* hahahaha!
Just NOT his day.
What a special policeman ! Love it ❤❤❤
Bad parenting is literally the single biggest problem we have in the USA.
Or no parenting! 😢
You do great work. You deal with idiots.
I love Frank and I trust him which means more than anything! Thank you Frank for your service!
I will most certainly look at EVERY new episode out of a number of reasons. I do think that sherif Lamb is a real caracter lots of humor and an atitude that really works. It’s greate fun to watch and keep the good work up. A shame though that we dont have that kind of roadpolice in Sweden (where I live). Pl exq my poor english.
If I ever get pulled over, I would want it to be by this guy... he's that witty, responsible friend everyone needs in their life.
This cop is a smartass don't know what you're talking about.
These are the ones that think they know how much better the world will be run when they get to make all the decisions.
Scary
This officer is the best. He deserves his own show. He’s got it all EQ,IQ and looks .
He has his own channel on TH-cam
And the dimples.
He was placed on the brady list years ago by prosecutors because he cant be trusted to testify in court. He used to be a SGT before his stripes were removed and now hes stuck on patrol with his 20+ years of experience. He cant testify in court, therefore he cant be an arresting officer. The video Law and Crime shared of his where he was like "oh i hope he goes to court Ill see him there". Frank never submitted that ticket and Frank never showed up to court. That drivers ticket wasnt just dismissed, it was rejected.
@@BAMAUDITS what’s the name please.

One car length for EVERY 10 MPH. You need to read the whole thing, lady!
I love Frank. He's the real deal.
“One car length…”
One of those drivers who is baffled as to why she’s brake-checked a dozen times a day.
She probably needs to read into that more... 1 car length per 10 mph... not just 1 car length
My mission in life is to get stopped by Officer Sloup.
As he would say to you, "It's Deputy Sloup."
What happened to Sloup at Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office?
He was working 40hours a day and ripped the public off
Good for Arizona!
haha i love it... the confidence when you said "he was high... he took it to court and i beat him in court"!
Deputy Frank Sloup is 100percent THE BEST LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSON IN THE USA 💙
We use two seconds in the UK using the same technique but saying the phrase “ only a fool breaks the two second rule”
Training in the UK is far higher than what’s required in USA, there is a theory test with a hazard perception section, then a driving exam lasting 30-40 minutes.
After being suspended five times does he call out bingo?
This sherif loves his job. Rip to anybody feeling ballsy in that county.
heck yeah 😂😊😊

If that was my father - I would be grounded.
When you are actually a good, fair officer. Thanks, sir.

❤❤ Frank is the man gotta love him ❤❤
It's crazy to see some of the laws broken with no jail trip
How is that man is still in LE ? Just plea not guilty and Frank is on a Brady for repeated lies in court. I love him lecturing someone on the law
Looking forward to 2024! Thanks for everything you do!
I like Franks humor
You have a bad taste in humor.
