Great job on keeping the streets safe..we all makes mistakes and when i pulled over I find myself being honest and respectful makes things go easier and most of the time I just get a warning.
I live in a legal state and it is astounding how many people (almost always matching his description, though including females) took it as a license to drive around smoking blunts anywhere and everywhere. That's not what legalization was supposed to be. I supported legalization more than anyone for decades but I did not sign up to be surrounded by cars at stoplights with smoke billowing out of them. You know it's bad when you smell it when a car passes you doing 90 on the highway.
A wonderful and very wise lady I know used to work for CHP as traffic patrol. She always told us younger kids “never pass a sheriff deputy or CHP, unless you want to get pulled over” So to everyone reading this, please heed her advice and drive safely out there.

I got a DUI in AZ, it was my first (and only) it was simple, no crash, just an average DUI. They gave me 2 days in jail and the cost was $15,000 for fines and lawyer. I avoid AZ at all costs.

I may end up hitting THREE cars (doing it the cop's way), or I could turn left, follow the green lights, not hit anyone, and park in a parking lot. Yeah i think this officer should make some videos of him giving people a break rather than always giving out citations. Its really doing him no favors and i would not like to get pulled over by this officer since chances are you will get a ticket and not a warning. Also, i am starting to think that stretch of the road is a giant speed trap. Seems so common that people are going 25to 30mph over the speed limit. I bet there is a spot where the speed limit drops and he is 1 mile down the road. It probably is around 55mph or 60mph the it drops tk 45mph. Now granted there are some he pulls over gojng way beyone that even, like 80mph++, i get that.

One hour of police work equates to about two hours of paperwork in addition to the one hour. That is two hours NOT in the field for EACH event. It was much worse in the days of typewriters vs. computers. On typewriters, if you had 99% of a report done and one mistake at the end of the report, the whole report would have to be retyped.

Not the way it works. I know tons of people who have never had a dui but still have suspended liscences solely because it’s not possible

One hour of police work equates to about two hours of paperwork in addition to the one hour. That is two hours NOT in the field for EACH event. It was much worse in the days of typewriters vs. computers. On typewriters, if you had 99% of a report done and one mistake at the end of the report, the whole report would have to be retyped.
