I bought my mule "Rusty" from Ty and Skye and I couldn't be happier. Super solid mule that continues to impress me after 6 months of ownership. Recently took Rusty to an obstacle course clinic and he out scored all the horses on the outdoor obstacles. Never had done anything like this before. Rusty cruised through the course like a walk in the park! Great mule!

Very good advice. I am an old cowboy, grew up around mostly horses, but was introduced to mules and donkeys in high school. To be honest, I prefer mules over horses for most things. I think the biggest thing with a mule is the bond you develop with that animal. If you have a mule that trusts you and you don't make any bone head mistakes, you can do anything on a mule. O and I have found they are more hardy than a horse, and will out travel, work and live longer than most horses. Thanks for the vid. Keep them up.

If you all think this man over charges for his mules, check out what mules sell for that haul rider's over and threw the Grand Canyon ... My opinion in finding a good mule or horse starts with finding an honest seller ... Something hard to find ... Amazing that a person would send someone home with an animal that could hurt someone, just to make a buck ... Trust me there out there, learned this the old school way ... The gentleman in this video seems to be very up front about everything ... Character and honesty in the seller, then take a look at his equine he's selling ... May save you some hard ships down the road/trail ??? Patriot Perry ...

40 years ago a friend bought a "matched set" of Missouri Mules--- they were handsome!! My father took one look at them and told the guy... that's a "good one", the other - get rid of it. In the end.... no longer a matched set. I am looking for a stout, gentle jack.

Hi Ty! Many of us new to Mule ownership are looking for some good Mule saddling advice & recommendations? Not a lot out there about how to find gear that fits a Mules unique build. Many saddle builders just suggest Quarter Horse tree & extra pads, but that's not a proper fit! Any suggestions for what you find works well. You work many mules & I value your experience. Thanks!

electraspy . check utube videos there is an older gentleman who is awesome when it comes to how to find the right saddle. He will go over how mules move their shoulder, up and down and it is imperative to find a saddle that does nor restrict the mule's movement. Going wider is not the right answer. I have an Arab otherwise I would love to get a mule. A guy told me if you can train an Arab I would do okay with training a mule. I guess mules do not like to be drilled the same thing over and over again. Once they got it go on to something new. Just like my Arabian. Good Luck.

You have great advice! What's $5,000 compared to $250,000 in the emergency room!

Aloha Ty! I'm planning on moving to Oregon and wanted a mule for driving as well as riding. How much should I expect to pay for a trained mule like that, especially since I'm inexperienced and don't wanna get taken advantage of. I'm also 55 yrs old and female, if that makes any difference. Mahalo! Kiki

I have never bought a horse or mule based on color, I totally agree that the best color is BROKE!

In today’s day and age is $5k a reasonable budget to expect to spend on a solid mule? As someone who is looking to get a mule in the next year or so, I’m never sure what is reasonable. Especially when I see some selling for upwards for $20k+ - that is a little discouraging!

You have great advice but some people insist on doing things their way.I once read a story about a woman who spent $30,000 on plane fare, car rental and motel bills looking for a horse that was just the right color,4 white socks and a blaze and God only knows what else. She looked at over 1,000 horses before she found what she was looking for.The horse cost her $3,500.
