Hi Adrian, Just catching up on some of your videos as no more than yourself I've been busy of late and I really am in awe of you how you make time for everything 🤗🤯👍, Not be in the pub to often anyway 🍺🤣. Fantastic job on the quad and the mats on the pit of your parlour, so so impressive 👏. You really are a man with an unlimited amount of talents and your family should be so proud of you. Well done you. 🐄🐕🏍👍
It was great to see your dad looking at the old girl. You could see the years start to melt away when he was looking at the tractor. Your a thoughtful son to do this for your dad. Isn't the gear pattern made on the frame of the tractor? I'm pretty sure our old 8n had the gear numbers made on the cast iron frame. Our tractor is in the US I don't know if all of the tractors were made in same factory. Have a great week. Take a little time for yourself or time with the family.
Thank you Adrain for the video. The difference in the ground there does very so much quicker then it does here in the USA. The glaciers made every area of the World so unique.
We put in the same mats about a year ago and they are great! We spend about six hours a day in the parlour at peak and the old feet and legs were revolting! One of the best things is that on a cold day it is so much warmer under foot, now it’s not gonna last for ever but we will be putting more down as soon as it is worn out , it is starting to discolour already but it is not wearing much as of yet.
A hard working skill full channel, no standing about talking about what you must do, and all by a one man show most of the time! It’s some inspiration to others 👏🏻👏🏻. Fair play to all involved
The area you’re in is very beautiful. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Sunday. That last cow was cute, she didn’t want to be left alone. Thanks for sharing!
It’s great to make a space comfortable for you. You don’t realize till you do something like this how much it helps I’m the long run. Great seeing you working around the farm and just seeing the beauty of Ireland. ❤
Well done with the matting brilliant Job, we have this at work fantastic for my bad knees. You will feel like you are stepping out in a brand new pair of Dr Martins every time you walk on your mats. You can not put a price on comfort my friend the jobs a GUD UN. Your farm is a credit to you, all tidy nothing out of place, and your livestock looks immaculate, absolutely love it
@@IFarmWeFarm yes some people will try anything and fair play to them for giving it a go but not everyone can face into a job like that and do it so neat. Even that story you told about the time you put the roof on the shed when you were young takes natural talent to do something like that
Hi Adrian, I have a bale splitter and I split bale in 1/4 'ers i first split the top half and then the bottom half and bale falls perfectly over so I can slit in half again. Iv quarters I can pick up with splitter and move. No throttle used on tractor and no fork👍 Keep the good work up
Brilliant again Adrian,so we all are at same tricks when an animal gets away,i always say if you can get the majority of them to come ur way the rest will follow,of course that theory doesn't always work either. 👍🏻
Know what you mean about the land differences as years ago we would be waiting for it to dry up to sow fertilizer while on our travels we would see silage ground with a good crop of grass already on it and a month later they would have it cut... Cattle can do some damage to ground when it's wet and it leaves a weakness then in the ground for tractor grip the following season.
I clean these parlours regular for farmers just wash regularly and they’ll be fine , I must say it looks lovely in there compared to some places I visited 👍🙏
Hi Adrian tasty job on the matting . I noticed that your side rails on the parlour aren't covered in allowing cows to dung into the pit where your standing. We sheeted ours years ago keeps the pit so much cleaner
Hello Adrian.them mats should help u out big time.the back is very important to keep right.ur such a perfectionist.looking well for 30 but the vat spoils it.u do look well for 46 for a man that works so hard.great video.
Hi Aidy nice job man do you know that something Mighty Big is Coming where All Farmers will be Congratulated on what theve achieved over the Testi g years your Subsidies will come back More than Before so you will be rewarded with cash for the way you All have Struggled,Believe Me I'm not Mad I k how it's coming you will know soon very Soon
Good project that should help your back, it definitely brightens up the parlor. I'm a diesel mechanic and equipment/truck driver over here in the states. I've been a subscriber to your channel for about two years now. I find it funny that you regularly refer to measurements in inches and feet. I guess it surprises me that you use it that much. I've worked with guys that would complain about having to use the metric system. Your comment about measuring in inches made me laugh.
Well Jason, ya the imperial vs metric does come up a bit. Tradesmen would hate to hear of inches 🤣. I use both, if I’m ordering anything it’s always metric but imperial does drop in on the farm jobs 😜
Great job on the mats, that should make it a bit more comfortable. I hear you on the heavy ground, we have same here, even the quad would make a mess in parts of it and the steep parts are a no go until late spring. Doesn’t stop the oul boy trying though😳🙄🙄🤦♂️
The visuals are as clear as clear gets on the videos. I haven't seen any other farm video with such high-res videos. Fair play to you. Can I be cheeky and ask do you reckon it's the GoPro camera or Final Cut Pro software that makes the big difference? Or a combination? Thanks.
Well Adrian, how u doing great job very tidy milking parlour with out a doubt those mates will diff be easy on the feet & legs, just to say great silage, kieran from Laghey donegal town chat soon
Get it looked at by whoever specialises over there. I made the mistake of battling on but my flexibility is appalling and you need it for clipping. Might be worth looking at a sling on the trailer. Don’t be too proud, it ain’t worth it.
i will stick to my tried and tested and proven method of getting concrete paint rolled down and then throw sand on it and then just to be a really good cheap skate i bought an over sized pair of togs or whatever the kids call em and put those on over my wellies, sponge sole and no issue with concrete floors...
Wud u ever strip graze with the heifers or just get a week or whatever out of the field i find at home if we dong strip the cattle dont graze out the field as well
I have but there hard work when it’s just barbed wire, they would be on the road more than in the field i’d fear. Make a powerful job of silage ground though
Great job, great hands, looks really well. For your consideration: why not wear a light-weight material weights-belt to protect your back and metric is way easier than imperial. No matter how used to inches you are, the metric 10's is the mutts nuts! If there is a carpenter reading this, please add your tuppence . . . Love your channel. bye
Yes I do use metric when ordering stuff, any trades person probably would too. I had one of those belts which definitely did help but swimming and floor stretches where a game changer for me. I’ve strengthened my back muscles, plus i’m more careful of what and how I lift things now. It’s a common issue nowadays
Hi Adrian just a question on your big bales silage do you ever get any bother with it where you are mixing up your slurry tanks like clogging up your mixer ?
Not really but I have heard of others having bother, especially with piping on dribble bars. I go in on the slats every day and lift as much silage that gets pulled in on the slats as I can. That does make a difference.

Nice tidy job on those mats Adrian, will make milking more comfortable 👍, great idea with the metal grid

Thanks George
Hahaha, you always get a laugh out of me on a Sunday morning! Well done, it looks great and definitely should help the legs and back.
hey, you should paint the side walls and steps that colour blue, give it a great lift
I might do, try get the right paint that can handle the wet damp environment. Good idea Pat 👍

I like the mate idea, hope it does the trick, should keep your feet warmer in the frosty mornings.
Great job on the mats and the silage looks good
I've had those mats in for years and yes they have discoloured but a great great job.
I bought one of the Hay knifes off e bay after the last video you showed it. Lovely scenery you were showing us there at the end of the video.
Them hay knifes are great for the bales, and big enough to not loose it. Thank you 👍

Great job on matts. Heifers look great.
i tooka blunt jigsaw blade and put a sharpe edge on it and then use it on the foam matts gives a straight cut and NO mess...
That’s would work a treat 👍
Watch that type flooring.... it could possibly expand in the summer ....
I’d say it will lad, I’ll let it settle a few months and then just take a bit of one side to relieve it.
