Depicting a tumultuous relationship with addiction, "BLOODRUSH" communicates the rush people seek to get through the day, without consideration of the consequences that follow. There is an acknowledgement of deep entanglement in what is a destructive cycle - feeling enslaved by the allure of drugs or other unhealthy coping mechanisms, as well as the casual culture surrounding them.

Have been a quiet but diehard fan of this band since the very first album. My fav shirt is a Ground Dweller hoodie. It makes me sad that some people dislike their direction/sound as times change, but frankly I think the variety makes Hands Like Houses so unique. I have adored almost everything this group has created, and I cherish it all.

This song, as well as the last 2 released with Josh, are all absolute bangers. Love the sound, love the return to the heavier stuff like off of Dissonants. That being said, I feel like one of the things that drew me into old HLH was the songwriting and lyrics, and so far what I've seen coming out, that has been one of the parts that's been lacking for me. The songs hit hard, they're catchy, I want to listen to them on repeat. But I just don't feel the same connection to them as some of the older songs, the lyrics feel much more generic, much less relatable. And maybe that's just me, but that's probably the biggest thing I find myself wanting more and better on from the new direction.

Yup. Last one left due to some issues with the band. Had some allegations against him, which were proven wrong, but he still ended up parting ways with them

FINALLY, an actual song, reminds me of Three Days Grace or Skillet.
Songwriting’s still rather basic, but now there’s an actual sound I can get behind. I suppose the third time’s the charm, because things are starting to feel right.
That being said, even though I’ve heard just three songs from the “new era”, I’m seriously starting to believe that this band should change it’s name.
They probably won't though because they'd lose clicks/visibility just on the name alone.

Well, Rain City Drive changed their name due to the negative connotations of "Slaves" not because of the new singer. Pretty sure they spoke about that when they did it. But hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion.
I personally prefer the message that a band is more than just their singer, Attack Attack! is another good example of that. And Bad Omens sending that message as well with V.AN. is another great example
