This song is about when you can’t seem to break the cycle of negative thinking and your mind is filled with guilt, shame and anger, twisting experiences and memories to leave them feeling inescapable. It explores the tendencies of being overwhelmed by anxiety, fear and self isolation. The concept seemed to naturally fit the instrumental and reinforce the headspace of the song.
