  • Today on Baggers and BS we install a set of T Bars, using ‪@boostedbrad‬ 10 inch risers and ‪@KrausMoto‬ bars. The install goes pretty smooth over all, however you will need a 3/4inch drill bit to accommodate the heated grip on the left hand side and you will need to widen the openings on the bars for the wire plugs. A super subtle and minor modification was made to the control housing on the left side to accommodate the wires as described in the video.
    The overall bar width was about 35.5 -36 inches grip to grip end. That seems to be the same as others who have done bars as well. My other bikes with similar set ups are 32 inches grip to grip end, this is largely due to the way the wires are on the Harley and lack of holes on the bars I chose, the stock bars have 4 holes for wiring. Overall it was fairly easy to do.

    Looks really cool! Kraus makes some really good looking risers. Also love the new CVO models, but don't love those prices lol.
    I've currently got a Low Rider ST, but one day I'm going to get myself a Road King and slap an fxrt style fairing on it. Probably will want some of those Kraus risers too, can't beat em!

    The bolts came out from underneath, we just had to basically turn the handlebars and use them and extension bar with the socket to pull out the bolts for the risers.

  • @Baggersandbs
    @Baggersandbs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yes, I removed the bottom risers from underneath the triple tree. You’ll find the two bolts that hold the small factory riser on. Then I use the replacement bushings that I put through the top and bottom of the triple tree riser holes. The bolts should be long enough to go up through the triple tree and the bushings into the bottom of the riser. Which risers did you get?

    Bars look great. Not sure if I missed it or not. But if the bar ends are tapered to 7/8” with a 1” clamp the sportster s/nightster/pan America bars should work. With a slightly lower riser and mid/high bend bar would give you more clearance for your screen.

    • @Baggersandbs
      @Baggersandbs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you very much, I don’t remember exactly the taper but overall I mean from my seating position I’m about 511 - 6 foot tall they are right on the money. I actually can see the screen without issue. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with him believe it or not. I still haven’t taken it out for a ride other than sitting on it. But I’ll be doing a video on that as well. To give my review of how the overall feel is, and I’ll actually at that point give you a real world opinion on if there’s any obstruction and how they feel overall.

    Man that looks nice. Question: I just installed some bars and risers on my 2024 RG and when I powered it on nothing works. It powers on but no blinkers, cant boot into accessory mode... nothing. It's like it's booted into some mode and I can't figure out how to get out of it. Did anything like that happen with you?

    • @Baggersandbs
      @Baggersandbs  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, I definitely need to not have anything like that happened. You might wanna open it up and just recheck your connections. Period. Did find some connections from the factory that actually came loose while taking it apart. And they actually came loose with zero to no effort just from moving the wires around so something might’ve gotten unpluggedduring the rebuilding phase for you. I would just go back over everything even if you gotta take it apart again.

    How do you get the ignition cover off ? Does it just clip in

    • @Baggersandbs
      @Baggersandbs  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Basically you on snap the clamshell and then there’s two screws that need to be removed in order to take it off. You need some thing like a flathead screwdriver. That’s very fine or small to pop off the ignition cover and then underneath there there’s two screws. After that, you should be able to unclip the clamshell totally

    Looks really nice however It takes away visibility from the screen... that was one of the reasons why I bought the motorcycle, ( the screen and the fairing) and I wouldn't want to take away visibility.

    • @Baggersandbs
      @Baggersandbs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, I’m not sure how tall you are but, it doesn’t interfere with any visibility at all for me. I can see the screen completely. I agree I bought the bike for the visibility of the screen and the fairing as well. I would not have done the risers if it interfered I would’ve just went with a more traditional bar. I think it’s also subject to the persons height, and obviously the riser height that they choose.
