I saw you changing the date when the watch was at 10:30p.m. Ouch ! Don't think we are supposed to do that because changing the date between 9:00p.m. to 3:00 a.m. may ruin the date change mechanism. You guys should know better. No ?
He is changing the date at 10.30am !! You can tell that because when he is changing the time, when he passes 12 the date does not change!! So there is absolutely no problem with what he is doing. The date mechanism gets engaged between 9.00pm to maybe 03.00am as you correctly point.
9nyo9 If you look at the subdial at the 6 o'clock position, it is a 24 hour indicator showing the time being at the 22nd hour, hence I am pretty sure it was 10 p.m., not 10 a.m. And when the watch was adjusted, you can actually see the 24 hour dial advanced from 22nd hour to the 24th hour, which is an indication of midnight. The fact that the date did not change when he moved the time pass 12 is a further indication that the date change mechanism might have been ruined. My humble observation.
+Henry Lui Henry, you'd be surprised at how many watch reviewers on TH-cam overlook that procedure. It irks me everytime! At any rate, a wonderful review and classy time piece.
Henry Lui I really hate when everyone on youtube changes the date without thinking of that. It's true. Makes me cringe. You're right. It's not supposed to be manually changed between 9pm and 3am. Best way to be always save is to set the time first to six o'clock (am or pm) stay safe guys 😌
RiZZi i have the same watch and i love it. Personally I'm not a fan of the hesalit crystal but oh well also the rotar looks a bit cheap but the watch itself runs good. Lost only few seconds over a week now. I love it.
I bought this watch a month ago. It looks great, but one thing that really bugs me is the cheap rattling sound that the self-winding mechanism makes. Aside from that it is a very accurate and elegant watch. So far it's about 10 seconds slow after 3 weeks, which is fantastic for an automatic watch.
Jan Domingo Yes, I am referring to the rotor. It is annoyingly loud to the point where I don't like wearing the watch and usually choose something else to wear.
Hi, I appreciate your review on this watch. it was awesome! one request though. could you guys do a review on junghans max bill chronoscope, since it was also a German produce.
As always I am late to the party. The one thing that was not discussed is the 24 hour subdial. Can you manually set it to the desired hour? If not, is a waste of money and complication. I have the 6050M-5 beige dial on mesh with a Selitta SW200 movement I purchased from LIW, and it puts a smile on my face every time I strap it to my wrist.
Hi Long Island Watch, i was interested on a Junkers 6050. I've also come across this and it apparently has a modified Citizen/Miyota 9132 and the 6050 I think has an ETA on it. May I ask which one you'd recommend? Would love your thoughts.
+El Nino There is no need to be afraid of plastic. Plastic has been used for many years. Look to my vintage Action (60's-70's XX century). So many years, and crystal looks pretty good instagram.com/p/BG8rRtjkz0L/
I love it's curvy face and long hands.Real classy!
Beautiful. And less than $600, what a steal.
Nice watch. It is so similar to Junghans Maxbill watch (even the name of the brands are similar :)).
Beautiful watch. It is next on my list.

+Henry Lui I thought this was a restriction just for ETA or Swiss automatic movements...

Vanessa Mercedes excellent. thanks for the insight. ive heard that the Miyota movement is very reliable. long live Junkers :)

Beautiful timepiece

are you talking about the rotor? Is it really loud? I hope this isn't a problem...
Jan Domingo Yes, I am referring to the rotor. It is annoyingly loud to the point where I don't like wearing the watch and usually choose something else to wear.
I concur...bought the Zeppelin counterpart...same noisy mechanism
what movement are you referring to the eta or the Japanese one
Nice review, nice watch...looking for something more affordable than my other watches - for daily use...I think this convinced me...thanks.

I actually like this watch.
Hi, one question, this watch has japanese movement?
Yes, it has a Citizen movement.
from orient factory..
Pedro Silva what? no. Orient is a subsidiary of Seiko epson not citizen. This has a Minotaur 9000 series me event which is made by Citizen
Hello - it is not a GMT hand; it is a 24 hours hand.
seems so unecesary..

No, it is not independent. It is more of an "am/pm" reference, but more than that, it aesthetically balances the dial.
It is not a total waste. On a watch that has date (like this model), it can make the date adjustment easier and faster.

What size band / lug? It's beautiful..
Blue lume? Never seen that before, is that common? Its beautiful.
Where’s mark?
How do you change the GMT hand?
I thought you didn't have to wind automatic watches?
You do not have to; this one gives the capability to hand wind if you wish.
Long Island Watch Ok great thank you.
Is here saphire or plastic (hesalit)?
+blase1101 It is a plastic crystal.
Which mean it's sensitive to scratches?
+El Nino Yes.
blase1101 So I'd prefer not to buy it

do you sell watch in Amazon?
Yes.
Long Island Watch please sent the URL for your page
Just search for "Long Island Watch" on Amazon.
Long Island Watch thanks 👍
Is it up to 35 minutes power reserve?
40 hours.
yes minutes... lol
Very small date window for such a large face difficult to read time ✔️
wooow so cool
could they not have added a sapphire crystal. such a shame
It would take away from the overall aesthetic of the watch. And add a bunch of cost for the dome. But I do think some would pay for that upgrade.
Junkers is better than rolex
They should rename their company.
Jonah Yue it's not pronounced "tschunk" as in trash, it's german and it's pronounced "yoonkers"
still it READS like 'junk'. When seeing the printed name most people see the letters, not hear the sounds.
@@Korn1holio Well that is not our problem. Its German so if they or you do not get it just buy another watch.
