I love Floris, tried this in the Floris store in London. 89 and 1962 (sadly discontinued) are my favourites. This has the dna of 89, but was a bit disappointing
I always respect your reviews. I'm a JB fan so I would love to try this out. I'm with you though, I work a lot of OT so I prefer fragrances that perform.
It's not an excuse with British houses, it's a cultural characteristic. British culture is in part definded by an aesthetic of understatement. Understatement is part of their perception of refinement. Once I came to terms with that, I came to appreciate Floris of London more. I have a bunch of Floris fragrances, with Elite being my favorite. Ironically, Elite performs well for ME. But with the exception of maybe Elite, and definitely Leather Oud and Neroli Voyage, Floris fragrances are quiet performers. Now, two other TH-cam reviewers evoked Bay Rum as being similar to 007. And Viking is the top comparison frag so far on Fragrantica. Do you get a comparison to Bay rum? Good review.
Idk if this is what you mean but personally i like my fragrances to not have a large projection but really close so you have to be close and personal to really smell it i think that is more attractive and kind of mysterious or something so when you walk past someone close by they get a quick smell of you and after a sec its gone and they stand there wondering😏
To me, this is like a fusion between Creed Royal Oud and Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur. No part of this scent reminds me of Viking. I don’t see that comparison at all.
@@TroyD247Mall I can understand what they were doing with this fragrance. It's just to simple for me. I love complex fragrances. I'm bored with Creed and same old stuff. Different kind of gentleman here.

Bond creator Ian Fleming wore floris 89, thats the link to bond
Yes he did, also Floris Limes bath essence is mentioned in one of the Bond books

Do you bro! 🗝
I've tried to a few weeks ago! Wasn't very impressed with it.
Hahaha as I’ve said possible knee jerk reaction!

Lol true that. I’d say fragrance reviews like these are rare occurrences in the channel!
